My condolences TC, glad to know that you're doing better now.
I was hit by a teenager on a E-bike in October in Prospect Park and fractured by kneecap, couldn't walk for a month and had crutches for two months. IIRC, you're in the NYC area - traffic of all sorts has been a mess here since covid and now I've become super cautious of anything that might pass at a crosswalk.
