Trying to round out the list this year, but looking for recommendations for what to prioritize.

I have seen every movie except for the following:
  1. Ikiru
  2. Metropolis
  3. Ran
  4. Kimi no na wa a.k.a. Your Name
  5. Andrey Rublev
  6. The Night of the Hunter
  7. The Great Dictator
  8. La passion de Jeanne d'Arc a.k.a. The Passion of Joan of Arc
  9. Double Indemnity
  10. Tky monogatari a.k.a. Tokyo Story,
  11. The General
I know it's mostly older foreign films, but does anyone have favorites of these?

All of those are fantastic, but The Passion of Joan of Arc is my personal favorite of the bunch

Out of what I've seen on that list, Ikiru is easily my favorite. They're all good movies, though.

I'll second Ikiru as my favorite from this list.

Edit: I've apparently seen 93 of the top 250 movies according to Reddit, which is honestly more than I was expecting.

Ran, Your Name and Tokyo Story are all fantastic. I haven't seen the others except Rublev, which is good but not for everyone.

only one i've seen is double indemnity, which i found just okay.

I've seen a few of these. The General is my favorite of the bunch. I haven't enjoyed most of the old comedies I've seen, but The General is hilarious.

Ran
The Night of the Hunter
The Passion of Joan of Arc
Ikiru
Double Indemnity
The Great Dictator

They're all worth checking out.
