What teams are you using?

Anything I can really. Theyre almost entirely Cryo types so Ive been using Xiangling, Hu Tao, my Diluc who isnt quite ready anyways, Noelle, Jean/Qiqi for extra heals, Venti, Fiscl. I can beat the stages, but cant clear them fast enough for more than 1-2 stars yet. All my characters can only max out at 80. Maybe lv9+ requires being level 90?

Level 90 is not required for anything. It helps, sure, but mostly for giving access to two additional talent levels, one of which you probably won't be doing because it costs a crown. Unless you have a character that scales from HP or DEF, the benefit of going to 90 is relatively small.

Far more likely, you need a better team composition. I would think basically anything not-cryo would be fine on those floors, even if obviously pyro is ideal. Hu Tao should be fine for one side. Xiangling supporting your best other team should work for the other. Or bring Diluc anyway just to smash ice shields.

Doesn't the damage formula take into account levels? I don't think it's major but it's factored in.

At low levels, a difference of 10 is significant. At 80 vs 90, that difference is comparatively tiny. Literally an eighth of what it would be at 10 vs 20. I mean, if you want to split hairs, then yes, there are small things like this that matter. You also will have ~15 extra ATK, plus whatever you get directly from the ascension. And for anemo characters, it might affect your lift, such as with jean's E or venti's Q.

But I feel comfortable stating fairly decisively that the primary reason to ascend past 70 is to raise talents past 6. That by itself is at least half the value. And that's from seventy. (The free fate notwithstanding.)

Ganyu, Qiqi, Jean, Venti, Dilic, Hu Tao, Fischl, Xiangling, Noelle, Lumine, Xingqiu, Sucrose, Barbara

Most of those have at least lv4-8 talents

Characters on the bench (lv20 or lower):

Amber, Beidou, Chongyun, Kaeya, Lisa, Ningguang, Razor, Xinyan

If any on the bench will help with Floor 9 and 10 Ill work on leveling them up.

I dont mind doing the Bounties, but I really wish theyd just have a menu for them so I dont have to keep going back to Big Hertha to complete these quests.

Yeah and I didnt expect a 5* so soon since all of mine had come at 75+ and I had just gotten Hu Tao. Fucking dumb Childe argh. Hoping I can luck out with Eula still.

I used more currency after that since I was like oh well fuck it and now I have a C5 Rosaria. She really likes me at least.

I mean, if you just got Hu Tao, you didn't really lose anything by pulling Childe. I mean, I guess you lost 13 pulls toward pity, but it wasn't like you lost the banner guarantee.

I know, but it still bugs me. I didnt even want Childe and dont have any intention of using him. I dont like how he plays. Too bad he couldnt have been a random Mona :(

At least partially depends on if you're using her as a cryo support or a phys DPS.

Support wants cryo dmg, crit rate, and secondary crit dmg since she'll buff other people's crits based on hers. Phys wants Crescent Pike lol

10 times. I actually ran into him fairly recently. I know of 4 of his spawns but don't go out of my way to find him.

And I hate running leylines. It feels good to look at your mora after a full day of leyline grinding, but it also feels really bad to do nothing on a given day because you're collecting gold. Or exp books. Things that you feel you ought to have normally without spending resin. I imagine the same is true if you forge mystic enhancement ore, but I wouldn't know because I've never done it.

Every survey Im gonna ask that they at least remove resin use from something. I mean I love the game and get its not meant for playing 7 hours a day or something, but damn I need Resin for everything and they either need to drop the cost or remove it from certain things altogether. Hell even just a day a week where domains are free or something would be cool.

@SwiftyDC thanks for the team suggestions. Got 9* on Floor 9 first try with it! Only got 7 for Floor 10 though. It was actually pretty rough since I kept losing a lot of health. Maybe Ill try Qiqi there instead of Venti.

Spend your resin on the new event since it gives more EXP books than the normal leylines.

np. Trying to remember what Floor 10 is. I think that's the one with the moving warm thingies. I think Venti is still good there with all the small enemies.

Yeah it is. Ill have to keep trying it because I couldnt get 9*s. I beat it with nearly everyone in my Venti group dead at the end lmao

Floor 11 looks like it has a ton of Fatui and one of those Defend the object things. This is the floor everyone fucking hates a lot of I recall. Wonder what teams I should try for it

You'll have to do the first exploration mission with Endora, but once that's complete it opens up the new boss fight with Oceanid.
