ok, this is where I'm coming from with this

First, lets start with old school PC exclusives (or games that are vastly superior on PC with modding or just being better run)
Bethesda (Fallout and Elder Scrolls), Valve games (Half Life, L4D, Portal), Blizzard games (Starcraft and Warcraft), From Software (Sekiro, Dark Souls), Witcher Series, GTA, Hitman, Deus Ex, DOOM, XCOM

Next, get Xbox game pass assuming you avoided a lot of Microsoft or big 3rd party titles
Control, Gear series, Halo series, Yakuza games

Next, you get a lot of RTS and RTS-adjacent games
Blizz games already mentioned, Civilization, Crusader Kings, Total War

Finally, you have a ton of indie games that have been ported to other consoles you might have missed
Super Meat Boy, Ori, Hotline Miami, Hollow Knight, Hades, Stardew Valley, Outer Wilds, Terraria

note that there is a lot of overlap between some of this stuff (seriously xbox game pass is awesome for PC and well worth the money if you haven't touched a lot of the stuff), and this is solely a list of stuff that popped in my head and there is so much more if you dig deeper

like I didn't even read some of the earlier posts when I made mine and there are already a bunch of gems that I missed and now see in other posts like Undertale, Titanfall 2, Celeste, Nioh, La-Mulana, etc.

edit - also I'm not going to be a monster and recommend you MMOs, multiplayer shooters or MOBAs that have been going for too long for you to catch up, but if you want to make the time investment to games that have been going for a decade plus, go for it, because some of them are legitimately great and worth the decade that they've existed

I know you said you don't like horror but you gotta check out DUSK, amazing Doom-like shooter with terrific atmosphere and Lovecraftian themes, but if the horror elements really get you down, the same developer also made a Hexen-like called Amid Evil which is also great.

Rocket League is infinitely better on the PC with higher frames.

The Remastered version is fantastic and all I've been playing these days.

starcraft 2 is also actually free now and has a cooperative PvE mode thats really fun

it's kind of like duoing a campaign map with both players having very distinct armies; one commander controls 5 heroes, another builds buildings that endlessly spawn zombies, one zerg one is super swarmy to the extreme but has few heavy units, etc

I played it on Xbox One, but having just beat it like a week ago, it has completely consumed my mind and has become one of my favorite games of all time. Like...top 3, which nothing has touched for over a decade.
