I generally have no more than 5 to 7 stocks at a time. But I think I am about to exit some positions shortly to briefly go hard in ATHX and ATNF and maybe buy back my GSMG warrants then hold tight for a while. So that will be four stocks. Likely will swing trade too and try to buy back in under where I sold to maximize gains.

I feel comfortable getting in larger position sizes on just these companies because both a.) I've done my research and b.) I'm still in early.

I'd rather wager on companies I'm the most confident in for the best upside than diversify to "reduce risk." Don't see any of my plays as particularly risky either.

I can't imagine having 20 stocks and trying to keep up with what's going on in all of those companies. I like to stay informed, so long as the information is available.

Doge had a good run from .0399 to .0430 but it has flirted with the 4 cent mark a couple times already in they past 24hr.

The RH thing might be involved but I think it's more likely the the most recent push had enough momentum to carry through all the sell orders parked on .040 which led to a brief window of acceleration.

I got in at .0368 and out at .0398 earlier for an 8% bump and I think it will dip again. Though it might establish low 4 cent territory as they new norm for awhile.

I don't necessarily dislike ATHX as a long term hold. It all depends on if there's any substance to the hype that seems to be brewing for it. If the calls pan out my plan is to actually exercise a lot of them if I like the earnings report enough.

The big thing is they don't really have a product yet and their partnership with Healios seems in the trash. I guess maybe that BARDA funding may be what the hype is about which would at the very least protect them from any sort of offering risk which would inherently make the stock more valuable. Their Stem Cell stuff seems super lucrative if it can ever get off the ground for sure, but it's not there yet so you kinda just risk your money sitting there and doing nothing until then. I don't really think there's any risk of bankruptcy and they're very meticulous with their testing and stuff so if they ever get to the FDA level I like their chances for approval but yeah it's tough

Question for the topic: How many stocks do you own at a time? Right now I'm at 15, which is the highest it's been since I started. SPCE is the biggest holding at 37%. I will probably decrease SPCE to 20% or so before the test flight and maybe increase the number of stocks held to 20 or so.

I'm still doing all sorts of things solely for the purposes of learning and seeing how different things change over time, so 15 doesn't sound that crazy to me.... but then again, it might depend on if you mean any ticker at all or if you mean just general stocks. Do ETF's and small bets on penny stocks and the like count?

I'm currently spread out in the following classes like this, but I don't really feel spread thin. I feel like I'm still on the hunt for more things to add to my list. I don't even have any options in here!



Maybe I'll scale back eventually when I feel like I have less to learn, but I don't think I like the idea of concentrating in a few things. I've heard the common wisdom that concentration is for wealth building and diversification is for preserving wealth, and if you concentrate in just the right stock it is the most effective thing... but that means you have to concentrate in the right stock. I'm not so sure of the odds of that. Diversifying to find the bloomers seems like the way to me. But maybe that's just my inexperience talking.

I like the idea of going long on the AVCT warrants. I need to look into this company and see if it has legs, since it basically requires the stock price to get to $15 to start being worth it. If it ever gets to $20 it'd be amazing. 2025 is a very long time so there's plenty of time to get here. But I'd hate to drop some decent money and find out it's headed to the bottom of the ocean.

"Off Twitter for a while" was 2 days ago and now he is pumping dogecoin without stop
So either that "off Twitter" thing was because he got a warning and then he got the OK to rally Dogecoin (is this even illegal? this is fucking crypto, not a stock) or he didn't get the OK and he just decided to rebel because he can (like he gave zero fucks about lockdown and decided that Tesla factory will keep working)

Snapchat ER tonight. It has crushed it the last several ERs. I reckon itll crush it again, so its a matter of how much faith you have that itll go up tomorrow (already factored in price or not). Im putting $27k into open.

Activision ER tonight. Expected to crush it. Been crushing all prior ERs. Price seems a bit high though already. Stock took a month to go up after last ER, which surpassed expectations. Im not getting into this one.

PENN National earnings tonight. Blew them away past two times. Stock has gone up consistently past year. Should continue going up even if price is already factored in for ER. Forecasts say its not a buy though and the one year high is only 15% above what it is now, and the low is like 80% lower than its current price. Im on the fence with this one.

Okay those are all the Large Cap stocks for today that I thought would be interesting. Im sure I missed some lesser-known ones. I checked tomorrows too and nothing caught my eye.

I'd be careful with gambling on earnings calls. Stocks often tank for earnings calls if they're not impressive enough even if it's good news

After looking at a few charts, I reckon a dip will take place at some point during the day. Ill try to buy it at that point before close.

SPOT missed earnings last two quarters. It went down a ton yesterday. Wouldve been good to buy at close anticipating a correction (currently up 1.3%).

also I read a bit of due diligence on how it might not have actually been Robinhood's fault entirely last Thursday.

Apparently, DTCC, the Clearing House in question, can arbitrarily raise the % amount of collateral required before putting through a stock transaction.

This sounds like it's an actually very simple regulatory fix. Some law needs to be signed where a clearing house isn't allowed to raise its collateral requirements without a 30-day notice.

This tracks because ALL of the smaller brokers had to limit purchases while Fidelity was able to shrug off the cost.

I still understand very little as well, but from what I do understand Etherium in particular is being used as a basis for many other coins which having been becoming more widely accepted. Since it is tied to so many other things it seems less likely to sustain major losses even if some of the coins "running in Etherium" (still not entirely sure what that means) take losses themselves.

I just put $5k into ETH. I am slowly transitioning into holds rather than quick but and sells (despite my ER plays just now)

Okay but on the crypto plays, you have to trust me and just LEAVE THEM ALONE.

I can see ETH going back down to $1,200 or so (please god so I can buy back in) but it's DEFINITELY here to stay. The rejection from the ATH in 2017 was far worse than this.
