Apparently at least one of the writers has an actual torture/rape fetish (they wrote a 114-chapter Fallout 3 fanfiction about it) which is apparently the reason why you can gaslight America (who I remind you is 17, or was until they patched out that dialogue after getting too many complaints) into being your sex slave.

And of course nobody on the dev team is showing any ability to take criticism, apparently; I've seen screenshots of the official discord where their response has more or less been to shit on the entire fallout fandom for being "toxic crybabies" who "don't deserve" their mod in a classic case of inflated ego. Also I've never seen any instances in which the Enclave is racist. Their metric for membership is "purity" meaning not tainted by post-war radiation such as growing up in the Wasteland and even that's a rule they've bent more than once when they needed bodies for whatever. It has nothing to do with someone's race.

-You losing a bet with a super mutant and becoming his S&M slave
-You banging both a guy's wife and daughter, and impregnating at least one of them (the daughter is specifically referenced to be unnaturally fertile)

But somehow none of these things are "fetishistic" according to some people ITT.

Fallout 2's humor, especially when dealing with sex, is also hella cringey. Like, I first played the game when I was an cringey 17-year-old edgelord and even I thought that anytime sex was mentioned in the game, was trying to be "adult" and failing at it.

(Then again, I'm also like the one person in the Fallout fandom that thinks that when it comes to "classic"-style Fallout, the first game was vastly superior to the second.)

It feels like they're just making him into a scapegoat? The creepy pedo account is one thing and it's good they removed him, but the stuff in the game is stuff the whole team gave the greenlight for. It's all of them, not just one person. I think it's more of an eyebrow-raise thing to use the game to get up on their political pedestal. Or at the very least, do it in a very blatant fashion.

Meh, I don't care that the dude was into "cub" furry porn, and at least he was keeping it to his personal artist pages instead of trying to shoehorn it into an unrelated mod somehow.

From what I understand some of the VA's are asking for their lines to be removed. What's fucked up is that they paid some VAs but not all of us and if I choose to have my lines removed, I fuck up their prologue and kill the mod dead. So I can't do that

But in this case certain Mod Authors allowed their own personal.."ahem" issues get into the game and it reflects that.

And yeah, if somebody worked years on something for free you can say "not my cup of tea" but you have no business shaming them for what they created for free. That's messed up, particularly when your shaming comes from a clickbait reductive misrepresentation.

It's just people being shitty and destroying the souls of passionate people. It's annoying af.

There is a difference between criticism and trashing. And yes, it being free makes a HUGE difference about how appropriate it is to harass the creators because you don't like the content.
