Definitely. But I think that was mostly down to running out of time as they did plan to do more Legion stuff, so who knows what would have happened if they had it. Perhaps better it was left as it was.

It's not something everyone understands, and I don't blame them. If I was still in my early twenties I'd be shoulder-to-shoulder with them arguing 'what's the difference between this and that?' On one hand, there's depicting such things - either seriously or humorously / ironically - as a natural part of the world; on the other, there's presenting such things in a way that makes it clear the writer was typing the dialogue one-handed. The former is a natural part of Fallout, while the latter is what sex mods and / or a DeviantArt account is for.

Looking at the wiki article for her it does mention those things. Never played much of 3 so never experienced Paradise Falls and all that stuff. (or was so long ago I've forgotten most of it more likely)

I was going to mention Clover when I had aspirations of making a more detailed post in this topic, as out of the Fallout games I've played, she comes closest to matching what's in the OP. A buyable brainwashed slave who makes very obvious innuendo at the Player Character is pretty much an apples-to-apples closed case, right?

The big difference as I see it is that Clover is a one-dimensional caricature, lacking in any goals or personality traits beyond irritating you with hyper-repetitive floating dialogue. Whether this was by design, or Bethesda's habit of shallow characterization was actually a net positive for once, I couldn't say. Furthermore, your PC has no agency in this situation beyond paying her initial cost - you're not actively the one breaking her spirit and getting her to submit to you, sexually or otherwise. You're free to fantasize on your own time about whatever sexual torture Eulogy Jones performed on her to get her to this state, or whatever you want to do to her behind closed doors, but the game (wisely) does not present these things to you. PoV / player agency can make a big difference as to when something crosses the line into distractingly fetishistic.

I'd have to actually play this NV mod to make a final comparison. Hell, if they actually named this character 'America' as some sort of deep allegory, then maybe she is actually just as one-dimensional as Clover. But I'm betting that's not the case, and that they were at least trying to create a complex character but couldn't stay out of Horny Jail long enough to stick the landing. And let's be real here: we should be holding NV (and even its fan-created mods) to a higher standard of writing than that of Fallout 3.

Unless I am not seeing something, I dont see whats wrong with it. Its literally kink.

Looks like a badly written, self-insert fetishistic love interest kind of thing, but there's nothing particularly wrong with that existing in the Fallout setting. It's slightly hypocritical going by that Enclave thing, but I think the difference is one is a single action of evil while the Enclave is full mustache twirling evil in which you'd need to write dozens of evil missions.

This could work if it was written in an actually interesting way that makes you a bad guy...
