Yea, the Zabi people are shooting down the Fed's ships like crazy

but its easy to forget those ships have crews like the White Base

they have their own stories and they're just being erased :(

I mentioned it before but this series definitely gives a good job of giving faces and even names to all of the Zeon (I remembered) crews

Showing they've all worked together for long periods of times and even have strategies with each other

Hell, some random Zaku just now cried out to his mother upon getting blown up

Wasn't much of an ending but at the same time its from the 80s

but ....it was rather flaccid when it happened

I thought it was gonna be, well, THE FINAL SHOT against the Zeons, like he was delivering the final blow to end the war

but it was just against char.

Seed was something of a spiritual remake of the original series. It also was super popular for some reason. I remember it being pretty alright when I watched it, but nothing exceptional.

Now that you've gotten the original series under your belt, there's a whole slew of OVA content you could consume, if you're interested, that help flesh out this timeline to a pretty absurd degree.

The manga shows a lot more content in almost every aspect of the series. It's sort of like Star Wars fandom where the more you look into it and the more you read about it, the more details you find. Like about which ace pilots on the Fed and Zeon side were present at each battle, how high were their kill counts, characters whose names you barely or never even saw in the actual TV series.

It's also worth noting that there are some differences between the movies and the TV series, and the manga follows the movie version of events. For this reason the movies and manga are actually considered higher canon than the original TV series.
