Why did Barry Sanders retire? Why did Megatron? Why did all kinds of players when they were still good? Sometimes you just are ready to stop playing.

Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson have one thing in common that made them retire early

Bucs would have 9 points now if it wasn't for their defense. i assume Winston only had the offense's playbook.
this makes the Bucs look even worse, literally 3 all pro WRs and they can't even score a TD

What he may be in the future isn't what he is now.

You are talking about a guy who led his team to 9-3 in starts, had 71% completion, 4 to 1 TD to INT rate. And you got people saying Burrow is better than him... like lol?

people forget that the last time the pack and the buccaneers played arod literally threw two picks in a row, one of them a pick six (I think). this happened in the second quarter and they fell behind by a lot. GB isn't built for 2 score + comebacks.

so as long as they don't make dumb mistakes the packers should be fine I would think.

Not sure if the stats support that... in 3 blowout wins and a close loss to likely the best team in the entire league leading up to today following his injury.

Sure they were 3-1 without him... albeit to what I am pretty sure was the worst 4 teams on their schedule all year. Doesn't mean they were able to do what he does without him.

I'll amend that to he's been awful throwing the ball downfield since his return (and he wasn't great this year to begin with). Dumping off short passes against bad defenses is a great way to inflate stats.

You should take whatever the team will give you. Brees has one of the quickest releases in football. He has always feasted on short completions. Especially when you got Kamara in the backfield. If it works, you should stick to it. It might not be fancy and make great highlights, but it's why he is one of the most efficient QBs in the league also.

There's nothing wrong with it when it's what the defense gives you because they don't want to get beat deep. When you are literally incapable of beating teams deep, good defenses play you accordingly, and the result is games like today.

I have mediocre respect for them. Brady in the big game and them already having stomped Green Bay hard this year already. I think people are sleeping on Tampa. Green Bay got a relatively easy schedule that granted isn't as easy as Pittsburgh's schedule like 12 game in (I remember you guys slammed me when I said Pittsburgh would be a .500 team likely if not for their easy schedule up to that point). Think it's an easy pick for Tampa. Could be wrong. Anything can happen. Especially at home for Green Bay in the winter. But, I would bet the Bucs for sure.
