Cold Steel 3 Chapter 4. Finishing up the Summer Festival tickets. Max bonded Towa, Elise and Alfin, Juna, Musse, Altina, Laura, Emma and Alisa. Only these last three gave you an option to romance. Chose Alisa of course. Towa, Altina and Juna got much better scenes than the rest. Altina especially made me very happy.

and for the Lechter mission, I made sure to get all the battle and victory quotes between Agate, Tita and Olivier

AoT S4E3 watched.

I will allow this flashback episode because it meant the return of Annie and Kenny, two of the best characters in this series, if only for one more episode. also wow eren taking up a hospital bed by faking illness that's not cool.

Just beat the Fire Vellumental in Origami King. That was probably the easiest boss yet. The boss never really did anything other than the same basic attack every turn.

Eh, CS1 felt way more abrupt than CS3. I was legit confused when CS1 ended where it did. I knew we were at the end of CS3, but it didn't feel like CS1 should be ending yet.

Also we're about 3/4 through season 1 in Attack on Titan and my wife immediately figured out that the Female Titan was Annie. This season has made me remember how good Annie is and has me hoping she finally comes back in season 4.

this re-watch has also given me a new appreciation for Jean

CS3 Ending: It's really just the hard cut in Osborne's speech that gets a bit of an eye-roll from me. I'd say more on this but it relies on some very early CS4 stuff but I think it was a bit sloppily done.

I thought CS3 was worse but I think both endings suffer from similar issues and I wouldn't say I like CS1's ending overall either. Maybe CS1 might be less noticeable for me because I generally like the final chapter/chapters of CS1 more than CS3, which goes downhill a lot in chapter 4 imo and only recovers somewhat.

I also wannacomment how easy that final dungeon was in CS3. All the boss fights were the same. Sledgehammer > Spirit Unification > Break everybody > Wind Blade > Everyone dead before they can get a turn again

CS4 Prologue beated. I don't know who did these openings, but they kinda disappoint me. Tokyo Xanadu and Ys VIII have some great looking ops, but CS3 and 4 look kinda ugly.

Trails tends not to have the best looking cutscenes in general. That's never been their strong suit.

Eh, Falcom definitely sent the C-Team for the CS3 and CS4 openings IMO. CS1, CS2, and Tokyo Xanadu definitely were on a much higher level than them.

I don't think we ever saw Schera in Cold Steel 3 so I just assumed it was something that happened off-screen at some point over the past several years.

We did not. It is a mistranslation. It should be "I know you already know this, but I'm Rean Schwartzer." In other words, he's commenting on how they haven't been formally introduced, even though they know who each other are.

Not sure there are any preludes I'm particularly into - they all sound pretty similar to me! (not counting stuff like To Zanarkand, haha)

Which is why I went with To Zanarkand! The song that's actually titled "prelude" in most FF games sounds pretty much the same across the series wherever it appears.
