I'm sorely lacking on mixers. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can make? I have orange juice, pineapple juice, peach juice, and milk. These are my alcohol choices.

@Mead
It's pretty good. Thanks for the suggestion. :) I really need to have more mixers on hand.

I would have gone with dirty tequila sunrise given the options, but crown straight would work too.

Given the liquors you seem to carry, you really need some sour mix.

Amaretto sours are the bomb.

Yeah I was considering it too. I was in the mood for something mixed. Disaronno is one of my favorites on the rocks as well.

Made some tequila sunrises on new years with my girlfriend, my friend and his girlfriend. They came out pretty good. You're right though, I've been meaning to pick up a sour. You ever had a Whiskey sour where they put a raw egg in it? I had one somewhere a few years back and it tasted pretty good.

I was going to do that, but then decided to share my predicament with PotD and see what interesting choices I would get. I used to have a cool mixing app that did that too. That was in my partying years. Maybe I'll download it again for times like these.

I recently tried hot buttered rum for the first time, and it was great. It typically calls for spiced rum, though, which I don't think you've got there.

What exactly is this? It sounds good. The Kraken that I have in the picture is actually spiced rum.

I've always been more of a coke person. It's not that I dont like pepsi too, but it seems weird to grab both Coke AND Pepsi at the store. Not sure why.

Coke works. I only ever have rum or whiskey though mostly. I've tried Gin but that isn't for me and Vodka is a write off. Although I have put Vodka in a cup of Earl Grey. That was interesting.

Edit:
Disaronno tastes great with apple juice or lemonade. I prefer the later.

Gin is probably the only liquor that I do not like at all. It tastes like I imagine rubbing alcohol would.

Man, I had some lemonade from Chic-fil-a left in my fridge. Now I regret not mixing that with my ammaretto...

Don't ruin Kraken by mixing it. Pick up something like Captain Morgan.

From the options I bet tequila and peach juice would be good.

I used this recipe for it:
https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/rachael-ray/hot-buttered-rum-recipe-1943195

You don't actually need an electric mixer (I just used a spoon), and I used salted butter and omitted the pinch of salt, but it turned out really, really well. It's very much a "sit and enjoy in front of a fire while it snows outside" sort of drink, like mulled cider or wine. Pair it with some other fall/christmas dessert like bread pudding or pumpkin pie, and you've got yourself a good time.

I probably should. Spiced rums have become some of my favorite hard liquors to drink. They have a good flavor when drinking straight or mixed. I might prefer Sailor Jerry over Captain Morgan.

Actually if you're going to do that pick up Admiral Nelson. Much better than Captain Morgan. Never had Sailor Jerry so can't compare all 3.

It was around Christmas that I had it, specifically because I was watching White Christmas with my family and they mentioned it in there. A couple days later, we made a batch to try it out. No regrets.

It is, however, a little more involved than "mix some juice with some alcohol," which I think is more what you're looking for with this topic.

Hmm that could work since my girlfriend likes pepsi more than coke, so I guess that could help us decide what to get. Haha.

I've never heard of Admiral Nelson before. I'll look for it and try it. So many liquors are named after men, and the men on spiced rums all travel the seas apparently. Lol

It was a little more than I was looking for, but it sounds too good to pass up for when I can get the ingredients. I was in the mood for like a Harry Potter Butterbean alcohol mix the other day so this would really hit that holiday craving for me.

See I like Captain Morgan more. Mostly spiced but Captain Morgan Tiki is really good if you like Pineapple and Mango. I'd even drink that without mixer.

Yeah that sounds good too. I dont usually buy the offshoots of the original brands, with the exception of the different types of ciroqs(sp?) and jacks. Though I usually drink those because my friends pick up the offshoots.

Surprisingly, I am not a fan of Whiskey Sours. I rarely actually mix my whiskey because I like it neat unless it's some real rotgut. I do have a soft spot for Jim Beam and Ginger Ale though.
