If i elect a representative and that rep takes bribes and embezzles money it is not an insult to me when someone calls them out on their wrong doing.

If my representative believes and perpetuates conspiracy theories then they deserve to be called a liar and if they feel insulted by that then tough shit.

As an aside my representative is a liar and all time scum. Fuck Devin Nunes.

If that's true then clearly the rule isn't being enforced in the US House. John Bercow ejected an MP for refusing to retract the phrase "Dodgy Dave" in reference to David Cameron. Elizabeth Warren got shut down in the Senate a while back also.

Though truth be told, it's probably not a great rule to have as a rule, rather than a custom, since it makes no allowances for things such as the truth of the statement.

Something went wrong with my phone and it went into a death loop of nothingness and auto restarting every couple of minutes. It didn't feel particularly hot at all, but I tossed it in my bag in the fridge so I wouldn't have it spam vibrate my pocket.

Dale's addendum there about "subject to aggressive backtracking" doing a lot of work there. As much as I wish that is legitimate, we've had countless examples of written statements/tweets, many obviously not actually written by Trump himself, saying the "sane/grown-up thing" only to be followed within 12 hours by Trump himself saying the complete opposite and that's where I'm at now.

Unless he says such a thing on camera I just don't believe it's really him and his thoughts.
