I don't think that's how it works. If i elect a representative and that rep takes bribes and embezzles money it is not an insult to me when someone calls them out on their wrong doing. If my representative believes and perpetuates conspiracy theories then they deserve to be called a liar and if they feel insulted by that then tough shit.
