Seriously, as a black man, this shit doesn't make me feel included, it takes me out of it.

Like I said, since the inception of facebook and twitter, human race has gone backwards. We have also reached the point of civilization to pick on trivial shit to disgree about.

It's worth noting that Hamilton did get called out for race restricted casting but nobody cared. They called it a "semantic issue" when they put out a call for non-white actors but then the producers said that they weren't planning on changing their casting priorities anyway because it was essential to their vision that the founding fathers be black.
https://newyork.cbslocal.com/2016/03/29/hamilton-casting-call-non-white/
As CBS2s Tony Aiello reported, the controversy was sparked by a casting notice posted by the producers of Hamilton, which specifically seeks non-white performers.

Funny enough, there actually was a case of a white man on Broadway playing Martin Luther King Jr and it led to a thousand signatures strong petition from playwrights to abandon colorblind casting.
https://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2016/03/hamilton-casting/476247/
Earlier this year, following a few incidents where supposed colorblindness led to white actors playing parts written as non-whiteincluding a portrayal of Martin Luther King, Jr. more than 1,000 playwrights signed a column published in American Theatre arguing for color-conscious casting instead.

Due to racism being strong in the past, white people in power were only able to acquire their high ranking roles because they were white. If they were black, they would not have been able to do so even if every other characteristic about them stayed the same. So Ill say a white persons skin color was crucial in the past. Doesnt make it right, but thats how it was.

Someone said what if Martin Luther King was played by a white actor. Martin Luther Kings story only happened because having white skin was crucial to being in power. Sure racism is bad, nobody is disagreeing that, but for the longest time it formed the backbone to society and culture. We cant pretend it didnt exist in the past by corrective casting choices today.

It doesn't matter what they looked like per se. Ancient records kept a distinction between them whether Semitic (Mizraim vs Kush; I know Hebrew but Akkadian and Aramaic used similar terms) or Greek (Egypt vs. Ethiopia). They even did it themselves

I would actually say they were pretty good as to knowing who was who even for related but distinct peoples: Assyrians vs. Babylonians vs. Arameans, until the Arameans assimilated with Assyria and Medes vs. Persians. Even Judeans compared to their surrounding cousins

I can see why people would be bothered but it's just entertainment. I recall a similar scenario when they had a black lady play the Macedonian queen of Egypt, Cleopatra.

I think descendants of slaves should be given a choice in whether they want to build their own land or territory. Since they've never been given that choice or opportunity and were brought here against their will. Those who want to stay should be free to do so. I dont think most people see that as unreasonable. Even Native Americans have some form of sovereignty and some land. Tribal courts and independent justice systems. (Even though they deserve a lot more as well, and there are a many problems they face in America also.)

Basically Black Americans who descend from American slavery, should be given the opportunity to build a land of their own, especially since the American government and police forces continue to treat them with hostility

The Egyptians called people of those nations the "Hyskos" which means invaders from foreign lands. Most Egyptian artwork they dont show themselves as simply tan, but as Dark Brown or Black like the average African person. Mentuhotep II for example is a Black man from Waset. He was the person who started the Middle Kingdom of Egypt.

There's also a lot of common and shared cultural practices between the Egyptians and other African kingdoms and civilizations going back to Ancient times al the way to to today.

Wearing the feather of Maat is one example of a practice that some Black African tribes (Pokot Tribe) continue today. Tribes like the Beja also continue Egyptian tradition by using cowfat in their hair to style that's another example. And the clothing styles and other artifacts show similarities as well. The use of Egyptian style headrests are also shown all over Africa.

The DNA test you're referencing came from a small area in Fayoum within a small period of time late in Egypts history (New Kingdom to Roman Era). It's like taking a sample of a single ethnic neighborhood in America and using it as a representative of the entire USA. In this case it's using subjects from a small region in a period of time where invasion and migration was common and using it to represent a 3000+ year old civilization that had been for existence for millennia prior. If you did that even within the USA you'll get an inaccurate picture of what the country is like.

When you widen the sample size and choose mummies of different time periods, especially older time periods. Ands ones from further south, you get more DNA of Black African origin in the results
