I mean, those posts are the minority. And while bugs are 100% happening, not everyone is impacted the same, especially when it comes to PC gaming. Fallout and ES are buggy, too. Did those bugs impact my game when I played those? No. Doesn't mean they didn't exist, though.

I think TC is annoyed at hypocrisy in the community. It's not hard to remember cases like AC: Unity getting raked through the coals (is that the expression?) for its launch bugs. Besides, people have been complaining for years now that Bethesda got an undeserved pass, especially around the 76 launch.

I personally don't think it's a big deal, but if you're the kind of person that gets stuck on the principle of things I get it.

Im 99% sure that (for PC anyway) downloading the latest drivers, and the day one patch fixes most of those issues. Im like 4 hours in, playing on High/Ultra (rtx off because fuck that mess) and have run into two bugs, and kept a steady 50-60+ FPS.

bug one: Character straight walks through my car

bug two: My game crashed after I landed a killing blow on the boss (fuck that actually made me mad)

I dint even have an amazing PC either

There are few posts less helpful than responding to numerous reports and posts about poor performance with "Well, I'm not having any issues."

Especially when there are so many reports that you just know they're lying.

That's literally every single subreddit about a video game lol. There is always a post saying that as some big "controversial opinion" and get upvoted to the top. It isn't unique to Cyberpunk

Maybe it's poor luck on my part or something, not sure, but it doesn't feel like they're getting much of a pass. People are swooning over the game still, for sure, but the majority of things I've been seeing lately and especially since launch last night has pretty much been a shit show. Especially from console players.

This is the benefit of consumer goodwill. Years of ongoing support for the witcher 3, and spending years advocating a DRM-free platform and condemning lootboxes and microtransactions will make you an audience darling.

Meanwhile, spending years claiming single player is dead, and shoving microtransaction and lootbox P2W schemes into continually-more-stripped-down games will earn you community ire.

CDPR likely does deserve a lot more criticism than theyre getting. This is the difference between, at the very least, pretending to care, versus spending years openly telling players to bend over and spread em.

We have no indication of how long this person has been playing, what bugs if any they have encountered, or even if they were the type to complain about other games in the past. I myself have a pretty big threshold for bugs, as long as it's not kicking me back to the desktop I'll keep playing and having a good time

I know the review version had some recurring bugs that required a restart. If you ever lose camera control, can't select dialogue options, or can't fire your weapons or something along those lines the fix is usually a restart. There was also an issue with controller support where individual buttons would stop working for some reason.

This. EA gets a ton of hate because they've done nothing to try to get people to like them, while CDPR has, so when CDPR has some issues, the fans are much more likely to cut them some slack, since they y'know, like CDPR.

Now, I haven't played all that much, but once I got my graphic settings down it's been a a pretty smooth experience for me. Sometimes I see like a floating bottle or something, but nothing game breaking yet.

There was one glitch I encountered right away, but the vast majority of people won't see it since most people don't game at 5K. There were problems with the menus in the character creator screen floating off the screen. I just backed down to 4K and everything was alright. The game performance would be terrible in 5K anyway.

The thing about bugs is that they typically do not affect all players the same. In most cases it's a minority of people experiencing the really bad, game-breaking ones so it is entirely possible there are lots of people playing without issue.

Have you played the game? I haven't yet, waiting for some patches/a better machine to play it on but at the same time I'm not making dozens of topics about it a day, it also isn't my profile picture, nor do I have a shrine of it in my closet like that chick in Hey Arnold.

CDPR were super shady about the whole thing and should be criticized for it. The delays were, in retrospect, VERY CLEARLY meant to mitigate how awful the game runs on PS4 and XBONE. That's pretty much inexcusable for a game that had over 8 million pre-orders, most of which on console. They also didn't send out any review copies for any console and used PC footage running on killer rigs as advertising for other platforms.

I haven't even been able to tell whether or not the game is good because of all the technical issues. It doesn't help that CDPR were ridiculously secretive about the whole game before release and relied entirely on "hype". It took the game's release for me to finally understand it's a looter shooter.

I mean I played it for a few hours last night and didn't run into a single bug. Game looks absolutely beautiful. I never dipped below 60fps and the lighting looks incredible even without RTX. I have an RTX card in my other PC but the one I'm using for Cyberpunk is a 5700XT.

I think the glitch whiners are really blowing things out of proportion. However I did see how it runs on the original xbone and ps4 but I'm not surprised when running on 7 year-old hardware.

RDR2 runs on that same hardware and it's not even comparable. The entire game was developed during the ps4 and xbone console cycle. Saying it's 7 year old hardware after your game has been in development for 8 years is not really an excuse.

RDR2 is 2 years old and did not run very well on my PS4. It also has a completely different lighting engine.

Regardless if someone came up to me mad that their gtx 960 wouldnt run cyberpunk on ultra I'd tell them to stop whining and upgrade their gpu if they can't afford to then they have to deal with playing it on low or wait until they can play it on a better machine.
