Have you lost your marbles yet because of the lockdown?

this is a hawking point that conservatives are making..that these lockdowns are causing anxiety and loneliness which spikes suicide rates and even violence at the household making people insane from being "locked down"..

There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always do not forget this, Winston always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless.
If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face forever.

Nah. I would've probably hated it at one time, but I'm good just being home all the time. If the power and/or internet died though, that would be another story. I'd legit go crazy.

I know I can atleast go 7 days. During hurricane Florence I went without power that long. I actually got told it was surprising I stayed level headed the whole time cause i was the only one who didnt have something where as everyone else did but yet I was the onlybone who managed to stay calm the entire time.

Everyone can see that that is a possibility, not just conservatives.

I did at the beginning but now I've kind of settled into just accepting it.

In a way I feel like that's kind of sad, though. I should just cut off all interpersonal relationships and become a hermit. There's no point in going outside and having fun anymore after 2020.

During that initial lockdown, things did eventually get pretty weird.

I started finger-gunning myself in the mirror anytime I would pass by.

"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face forever.

This is the entire point. To completely beat the populace down to where they'll accept anything. Can't stress the parallel to TSA/DHS enough at this point.

We'll never see "green" status again. Once there's a proper vaccine for Covid, it's going to be something else. Whatever new flu shows up, whatever random disease crawls out of Sub-Saharan Africa, whatever plague gets out of India. We've already been conditioned to accept the mask world where everything is impersonal. People will defend to their last breath this taking away of the ability to emote IRL. Can't have families gathering at the holidays, they might talk amongst themselves. Can't have people at the pub questioning anything.

Be afraid shitizen, be very afraid. 9/11 only got the fear-based control integrated into society so far. When you want to get on a plane or interact with big daddy government.

They needed a way to push this fear into your own home. Wear your mask, even indoors, or granny is going to die, and it's going to be your fault. Only remove the muzzle to take in sustenance, and when we're all eating bugs that's the only respite you'll get.

Get the latest vaccine to get your stipend. You'll only be able to spend it at Amazon, Walmart, or get a McCricket frappe with it because all the other businesses have been decimated, and our currency has been debased.

You'll be allowed to communicate with random faceless people on the internet because it's safe and our Technocrat overlords can control the discourse so only approved ideas can propagate.

You've all seen how power creep never loosens, and you'll already mock and ridicule people over not accepting this programming. "This is the new normal" after all when every fiber of your being knows this is not "normal".

The same people that were once up in arms about getting fondled to travel are the ones now defending all of this.

Ted Kaczynski absolutely predicted this almost 30 years ago. He killed or maimed a few people then. How many people have been killed or maimed by this new normal?

Soooooo I am an essential worker and have not experienced a lock down. But I feel I handle isolation without a problem. Sadly I need a paycheck so staying home with no pay would be unacceptable. But take away the need for a paycheck and I am totally going to welcome a lockdown.

Once I got over the initial anxiety of leaving the house, I've pretty much been fine. Granted, I use a fair bit more sanitizer now.I can understand it though. I've never been an out and abouter anyway so I'm unfettered, but some people are the never at home type so it's probably borderline torturous.

Some of those feelings (imo) also have to do with self reflection though. When you're stuck at home with nothing but time, you start to reevaluate where you are in life.

Not when you have Netflix and all the movies on stream to keep you distracted from the real problem. A gilded cage is still a cage.

Nope I am doing fine. I don't mind the distancing and separation because I'd rather be safe than sorry. I know a lot of people are downplaying the seriousness of Covid but I have had fam members who have had it and several co-workers so I am cautious.
