27 y/o British Star, Letitia Wright, the star and supposed next "Black Panther" has LIKED a TWEET suggesting her character should be RECAST the movie's sequel after she doubled down on her anti-vaccine views on twitter, which has now been deleted!!

She was slammed after sharing a conspiracy theorist video that asked if the injection will implant 5G antennas inside people or create human "chimeras"!!

Co-star Don Chealde even reacted to it and called "hot garbage" as she is not backing down and questioning the vaccines

She played Shuri in the hit movie as the devout christian had been slated to have a more prominent role following the death of Chadwick Boseman

She continued her tirade claiming that people are "canceled" as soon as you don't "conform to popular opinions"

She was slated to start filming next summer as the plot was expected to have Shuri's succession to the throne but fans want her out

Disney or Marvel has not responded to the controversy

She linked a video from Tomi Arayomi, a christian who claims to converse with angels and runs a ministry that charges members for lessons at his "school" and describes himself as a prophet

Of all the absurd anti-vaxx notions out there, this one baffles me the most. Never mind the questions of the actual technology involved in creating transmitters tiny enough to be implanted through such small needles, nor the lack of any reason to suspect such a plot or the fact that "the government is microchipping me" is such a cliched paranoid delusion as to be borderline caricature at this point. That theory is very obviously nonsense because virtually everybody already has a tracking device in their pocket, which they're often using to share those videos. The government doesn't need to waste R&D funds coming up with sneaky ways to track people because they've already got the means to do so.

tbh, I liked her character more than I liked T'Challa so I'd be on board with her being the next Black Panther. If they're not doing a recast, that would make more sense... although I guess *any* royal is eligible to compete to be the next Black Panther.

She was my least favorite character in that movie. I dont really mind if they re-cast her role as she currently does really fit as the next black panther, IMO.

Maybe people are not "canceled" for having "unpopular opinions". Maybe they're cancelled because there's something about their "opinion" that is objectively wrong and a shitty thing to say to millions of people. Maybe your employer doesn't want to and shouldn't enable you to spread your shittiest world views that will kill people.

As someone who's not paranoid ill be microchiped i hate the comparison to a cell phone. You can get rid of a cell phone Super easy if you suddenly decide you dont wanna be found.

Then again maybe im different a lot of people do act like not having theirs is practically a death sentence. Where as i often forget mine when leaving home cause it just doesn't cross my mind

Yeah, sometimes it's a harmless unpopular opinion, like "the DC cinematic universe is better than the Marvel one", which would be totally unfair and crazy to cancel somebody over. Other times it's buying into and spreading lies that erode civilization.
