Say, what does "FR" stand for? I see it on some gear and have no idea what that stat is :(

I thought it would be firing range or something, but the stat is ____/wave, so I don't think that's it :<

Also, does anyone have suggestions on what to spend the Venus points on? I've been mainly buying those T4 gear boxes.

Side note: I can't believe that I didn't realize that HMS stood for His/Her Majesty's Ship all my life lol.

Fire Rate. Some ships want faster, some would prefer more power. Timed barrage irrespective of fire rate doesn't care about speed, so slower stronger guns are better. It depends on the ships, and that can be quite the task figuring out what is the best gear for each ship. Generally gold is better, but sometimes a purple gun is stronger. If you search for the Azur Lane reddit, they have an equipment guide in their daily questions thread.

Gear is probably the best, after getting Misaki. Blueprints are usually a priority but that's after you're pretty confident in your gear. It gets pretty expensive. Oil is good too unless you're overflowing. Avoid cat boxes, cog chips, and dorm food. Purple plates are always in demand.

Special blueprints are the most limiting resources. Never buy cognitive chips, cat boxes, or dorm food. Gear boxes can be good if you're just starting out. Oil and Gold are just okay since they're a self replenishing resource. Purple plates are always good to have, but are easier to get than blueprints.
Editing to add: Special blueprints are for the handful of Decisive Rarity research ships, which is the highest rarity in the game. General blueprints are for every other ship.

Thanks. I actually recently built Misaki and Monica lol. Seeing as how I only wanted them for collection purposes, I don't think I'll buy Misaki for limit breaks.

I think the Akashi quest takes a month or so to do. Pretty sure you need to progress the campaign to chapter six or seven, too, so that's an additional annoyance for new players.

... Goddamn it. So for the Guardian Base Camp in GT, turns out the unit's rarity matters to how much points I freaking get. So putting a base Tinia was better than my 4 LB Eva. Goddamn it lol I've been missing out on so many points. I went from 2900/hr to 3600

Everything else so low it doesn't matter.

Oh yeah, speaking of rolling in Genshin, does the "you're guaranteed to get the rate-up 5* the second time" thing carry over between banners? ie if I roll 80 times on Ganyu banner and get some off-rate 5*, and then roll 80 times on Ayaka banner, I'm guaranteed Ayaka right?

honestly I kinda really want both Ayaka/Ganyu but I'm guessing they'll be kind of crappy together

Mona is a different case because she's a catalyst user which means every one of her attacks can proc an elemental reaction and when combined with something Bennett burst or Fischl Skill at C6 means she's just chain reacting back to back and with C1 each one does extra damage after a burst.

hm, C6 Fischl or C1 Mona seems kind of unrealistic

I'd prefer to just have cute girls in my party though

Keeping my fingers crossed for a Qiqi rateup sometime, until they release more content that's basically the only thing I'm interested in doing at all lol

Yeah my main DPS are Xiangling, Fischl and MC lol
I do actually have Mona as my sole gacha 5* (while pulling for Klee, rate up is a lie etc) but it doesn't feel like her damage output is all that impressive unless I hit her burst while the aforementioned characters actually have respectable physical DPS output from the weapons I give them (plus their element summons are no slouches either) though most of the time I just switch to MC for le wind burst explosion to end fights quick. I feel like 95% of the reason I even slot in Mona is for gas gas gas waterdrifting (fastest overworld sprint) though even that has its own issues because she seems to have a habit of getting stuck everybloodywhere
Practically I'd rather slot in Barbara for panic healing and the only reason I'm even phasing her out is just because I have a huge stockpile of healing foods at the moment. Things might change once I get more relevant 5* artifacts but having 90% of the artifact stats be yet more RNG is another car on the neverending train of Genshin gacha suffering.

Hm, that's too bad for Mona. Klee is alright but she's only 1/4 (soon to be 1/5). Xianglang and MC are actually both pretty cute too, I wouldn't mind using them too much.

Incidentally, Ayaka's dash looks like Mona's except even better since it can create ice blocks on lakes

Yes. If your last 5* on the Childe banner was Qiqi, you are guaranteed to get Zhongli on this one or you can wait for the Ganyu / Albedo banner.

Well you don't primo pull for artifacts, they're in-game drops; aside from characters the other thing you can get from the primo gacha is weapons if that's what you were thinking of.

On that tangent for Xiangling and Fischl's case they also have the advantage of having ready access to the upper tier of the in-game forgeable 4* weapons (Crescent Pike, Compound Bow) so you don't have to add further gacha nonsense to get serviceable DPS, with the Crescent Pike basically being hands down the best physical DPS weapon a non-whale will likely have access to; Xiangling herself being among the rare spear users in a useful element (And you can get her for free currently)

But yeah, regarding artifacts, while they're drops, they also have some of the worst RNG nonsense in the game; 5* artifacts have a main stat (Usually random) and four sub stats (Always random). Not helped that Level 1 artifacts typically only show two or three substats so you might still have to level them up to see if the remaining stat rolls are any good.

As an aside chasing for high constellations is generally pretty unrealistic even for 4* characters yeah, the exception being the MC since you get MC constellation items in-game itself

I cant believe this. I rerolled on every server , spent all my cubes on the event banner, and even bought a pack with like 34 cubes, and still no Kasumi yet. With only 2 days to go, Im getting a bit anxious. And I dont know how motivated Ill be to continue playing if I cant get her <_<

I've spent over 200 cubes before trying to get Essex, Yat Sen, etc., so don't be too disheartened if you don't get the ship. Although...crossover reruns may never happen again, so maybe being disheartened is the right call. :P

I mean at the very least AL has had collabs that I like, with Hyperdimension Neptunia (even though I missed it) and DoA. Im hoping that they continue that trend. Compared to GFL who have had also 2 collabs that I like BlazBlue and Guilty Gear), but they only had one character each :<

oh, I was thinking they were stuff from the secondary gacha. And yeah, reliable weapons is definitely a plus, sounds like a huge pain to get a good 5* even if they're not competing for gacha resources.

Still kinda unsure about Ganyu since her main thing seems to be aimed charged attacks which doesn't seem very fun to play but probably best to not worry about it until she comes out. Or maybe not until Ayaka comes out if Ganyu turns out to be really bad but idk.

Looking into it more, apparently they've used her original uncensored artwork in other tweets and promotional material already, so this one might have actually just been a mistake. The censorship in this artwork is also the same as how she looks in the Chinese version of the game, so at the very least we know it's not a change that Crunchyroll themselves made directly. It could be the worst-case scenario of "uncensored in promo material and censored in the game but they accidentally let a censored one slip out early" but it really could simply be a mistake and the wrong one was used.

So I'm upgrading my stance on this from "dead on arrival" to "not optimistic but let's wait and see" for now.

Today was a good day in Azur Lane. Got my last DoA collab characters. Monica as part of my daily, and Misaki as a drop in the event which saves me 8000 points. I'm also on track to hit my goal of 25000 points for the blueprints. Still over 160 cubes so I can get back to over 200 for the next event easily. Still recovering from maxing out the Shinano pity a month ago.

Pretty much this. I mean, as a Symphogear fan, I do think cute girls with power armor firing missiles at bad guys is totally fucking badass. But seeing it in Fire Emblem of all franchises just feels strange.

Spent about four hours grinding for Misaki, and even took 5000 oil out of the event shop, but still nothing. If I don't get the ship from construction tomorrow, gonna have to waste 8000 smackers. I wanted eight rainbow blueprints instead, though. =(

I still play it, but yeah, I'm *really* not feeling Book 5 so far (doesn't help that Book 3&4 ended up underwhelming despite a strong start).

Maybe it'll be opposite where it seems lame at first but ramps up at the finale?

I took the bait, re-installed Fire Emblem Heroes, and got my old account back, 40+10 buff waifu Effie and all. I haven't played since shortly after Book 3 released, so I have a lot of catching up to do. I don't know exactly how much I'm going to play FEH at this point, but I do know that I'm not going to let it take priority over the two games that I'm already playing. Revue Starlight ReLIVE and Tales Of Crestoria are still my top priority.

Yes the special general blueprints are only for the 3 decisive ships and the general blueprints are for all the rest. If you never intend to get them, then yes it was a waste.

All three of those DR rarity ships are among the best in the game. I'm trying to get FDG blueprints as my main go to but it'll still be months. She's ridiculous.
