Even if it is flavored like chocolate, poop is still poop and the exact opposite thing your body wants you to eat. Poop flavored chocolate is by no means an appetizing option, but is the clear lesser of two evils here. Besides, some people even like Hershey's!

I imagine if poop had always tasted like chocolate that people would've been eating it since the dawn of time, health risks be damned. We'd have stuff like chocolate milk made with all natural cow poop.

Alternatively humans would've just been naturally averse to the taste of chocolate.

I wouldnt eat either one because in order to know what poop tastes like, you had to have tasted it. So the guy making the poop flavored chocolate has to have handled poop and that means it got on his hands and that means that either way your eating poop at some level.

People are really underestimating the amount of willpower it would take to eat something truly poop flavored.

Like if the question were phrased like you had to finish a whole plate to get a million bucks, would you even have the willpower to eat a plate of something that tastes like poop?

On the other hand, you can just consider the other one to be poisonous but tasty chocolate that you'll likely survive and eat in several minutes.

Not necessarily. There could be a hypothetical situation where something can have certain characteristics you haven't experimented beforehand, but they could still be there.

Flavor and consistency are almost equally important regarding food (at least for me). If one is good but the other one is off, it becomes almost impossible for me to continue eating or drinking something.

You also have to factor in the mentality in people, since the sheer idea of eating something unusual can easily make someone not want to try something new, even if they could potentially like it, but the person doesn't want to find out.

You have to taste real poop to know.
For all we know, poop smells like poop but tastes like chicken.
I forget the name of the movie but if its made into a pie, apparently its pretty tasty!
