They've been presenting as pretty androgynous for awhile. You can be cis and androgynous, that doesn't necessarily mean you're trans or non-binary, but it's also just like yeah sure that makes sense.

It wasn't fully shown in the game but there was a shower scene and they made a fully nude model that was easy to discover with a camera break or something. David Cage is a creepy asshole who cites a friendship with Page as an I'm not a bigot token

It's been an unusual progression. The sexuality thing some years ago I kinda saw coming, but this development took me by surprise, although I'm not sure I've seen Page in anything since that superhero movie starring Dwight from The Office and the only thing I saw in the news regarding Page after that might be that fiasco with The Last of Us... so, I guess I haven't kept current. Regardless, I suppose I was surprised but not really shocked.

At this point, should society just get rid of gender labels entirely? If the prevailing logic is that gender is on a spectrum, why bother acknowledging fixed points? We could just remove that section from ID cards, etc, entirely.

It's hard to imagine a world where you always have to clarify what other persons identify as, and not being sure if you're going ot say "she" or "he". Calling someone "they/them" is really fucking weird since (I hope) you're not several people.

That's why it almost seems easier to get rid of the labels and go with gender-neutral pronouns on everything.

In a system where you only acknowledge 2 genders and the use of gender is descriptive in nature, it makes sense to use gender on ID. However, the use of it as a system seems almost counterproductive now. It certainly longer works as a descriptive element.
