Correct. You can already get condoms etc for free if you live in a modern country, no reason you shouldn't be able to for a natural bodily function.

mostly the fact that a) there is literally no option for women to not have periods and b) someone should not have to potentially choose between products for that un-choosable thing and food

Period products could be made available by simply having an extra SKU coupon by the register that any cashier could swipe when a package of tampons, pads or a cup came across the belt, same way they do for "2-for-1" and "Bananas - Large Bunch."

If you want them free for everyone, then anyone presenting the product gets a SKU swipe. If you only want the desperate, pleading poor to get them for free, instruct the cashier to swipe only if they show the Official EBT or Whatever Mark of Assistance Cashcard or however government benefits are applied in whatever country.

And toilet paper should be the same way.

Whoever said "cars" has never heard of public transit (which should exist, funded, from everyone's paychecks) and whoever said "healthcare" has never heard of Democrats.

How do you prevent bad people from taking all the stock and reselling it?
if people know they can get it for free, it will presumably be pretty difficult to sell

How do you allow a woman to get more than usual if she needs it?
uh... let her ask for more?

How do you get companies to keep spending money to manufacture them if there's no profit
have them manufactured by the state and paid by taxes

and how do you ensure quality?
there's no reason to believe the quality would be any less under such a scenario

lol dude what kind of questions are these even

okay, so you think all menstruation products should be "free".

what does this mean? does this mean we continue to have the same products / brands, but the price is always $0.00 at the store? if so, who pays the companies who produced the product and the stores that stocked and sold it? what about different quality between brands / products? how do you determine who gets what?

I imagine you'd be able to get a standard product from your GP/doctor like with condoms and if you want some thing fancy you buy it, in which case it should have any tax removed from it.

So wouldn't someone who was choosing between food and basic hygiene now have to choose between food and not paying taxes (as the taxes are raised to allow for this to be subsidized in the first place)? How is this a better scenario?

theres no reason that companies cant still have products while also having a state-subsidized version for those without the option to pay. see: every single unpaid public service ever that also has private competitors

Why? If its poor people being unable to afford them, then we need better care packages for them including all possible hygiene products. Just the singular product isnt going to help them much. If they cannot afford something that cheap, then they are going so poor they probably cant afford anything else either.

You should've led with this statement, because only mentioning feminine products should be free implies a bias.

You could also change free to "extremely affordable" and "a wealth of economic opportunity for almost everybody" and it'd damn near mean the se thing.

Toothpaste/toothbrushes/mouthwash/etc
Shampoo/soap/etc
Clothes/shoes/etc
Transportation/houses/etc
Food
College

Am I missing anything? Basically just give everyone everything except entertainment/recreational stuff. How does that work logistically? Ehh...details...details...
