It is just a matter of time until Zhongli is mine. I'm at around 70 pulls, so the soft-pity should be kicking in any time now, though if the worst should come to pass, I think I can squeeze out enough pulls before the banner ends. Especially with these 800 they're handing out soon.

Granted, this game is evil, as even if I get him, I'll still be low on all his resources due to my building up practically every other geo character. Geo cube is a joke, but I still tire of going through the motions.

That said, things are going a lot smoother now with all the artifact farming I've been donating the lion's share of my resin to. Turns out with more stats, enemies get killed more better. Who knew?

1.2 news all dropped. We'll get our own stream in a couple of hours, I think. Kinda lame that the only new characters are Albedo and Ganyu, the two 5*s. Easy skips for me, at least.

The most exciting news is that we have some more sources for weapon prototypes, because I need more of those desperately. More things to craft, too.

Yep. Im 30 away from a 5* pity still and have like 55 intertwined fates. Doesnt seem like new 4*s are coming like leaks were saying? If they are the videos certainly didnt show them

Got most of my main team to talent lv6. Looks like from there it requires clears of the hardest domain levels. Might be rough for some of them, but well see. Theres just so much to farm and nowhere near enough resin lol

These food deliveries feel a little overtuned imo. It doesn't help that loading eats up some precious seconds. I also encountered some pain having to reselect the mission from the quest screen to be able to point to the right person on one of them (the game thought i really wanted to do a different quest I hadn't done). The rain on one of the 'don't touch anything elemental' would have been a kick in the teeth if mihoyo didn't wisely pause the rain during the task...though some people still get wet regardless it seems.

All in all, I felt like I earned those 60 primogems. It might feel better if those codes up there didn't give me 300 gems for 0 effort on my part, as well as knowing that 800 are on the way.

PS5 made the deliveries easy thanks to vastly better loading times. I failed the last one the first time, but just set up a portable waypoint there so I cleared the retry in like 5-10s.

Yeah I can't go back to even playing on my PS4 Pro after playing on PS5. Difference is ridiculous

I had to deliver to somebody in a boat. Without getting wet. I was even thinking about that as I approached and said "well, surely they don't expect you to..."

TBH, I feel like we're in a psychological study to see what mice (gamers) will do for a small reward. 60 primos is enough of a carrot (or hunk of cheese) to dangle in front of us, but some of these event quests are getting a little silly.

Yeah, but that means even more runs at even more resin cost. Also I havent pulled since Klees banner ended and I still have a fair amount of story quests left. I havent even finished the Chapter 1 Act 1 of the Liyue plot and still need to do Monas character story, Nine Pillars of Peace, more of those geo key treasure places, A Lone Ship in Guyun and who knows how many other things still.

So, regarding forthcoming characters, I have the option to roll on the current banner, save for Albedo, or save even more for Ganyu. (Waiting that long will be a challenge.) Or, I guess, rolling on the standard banner. My next 5-star on the character banner is featured-assured, and I'm about 20 pulls into pity. I pulled once and got Xinyan, so that's not a concern.

I don't know that I want Zhongli. I don't not want him, but I'm not eager to pick him up. Pulling on his banner would give me a chance to grab Chongyun, though, which might be good to have, supposing I want to have a cryo character for damage output. Diona doesn't count and building Kaeya doesn't really appeal to me.

Albedo is kinda whatever. I dunno who he is (in terms of gameplay) or if I should care. Geo sword user, sure, but whether he's any good is TBD. Do we even know who's on his banner at this point? Sucrose, I'm assuming, unless she's a Fischl-esque freebie in the events. I had the impression Rosaria was coming on the Ganyu banner, though.

And then there's Ganyu, who will be literally the first waifu on the character banner after four dudes and a child. She's cryo, which I could use, but she's also a bow user. I already have Fischl and Diona as active parts of my team, and I'm likely to eventually work on Childe. I don't really want more bow users. Certainly not as a DPS unit, anyway. Bows kinda suck for that. (Plus cryo is probably awful on Dragonspine.)

It wouldn't be ridiculous for me to hope for weapons, too, though, since I've pulled almost exclusively on the character banner for the last month+. I would love to grab a stringless, and I wouldn't be upset if my next 5-star was a usable weapon.

Really not sure which direction to go. I guess it would be more accurate to say I'm not sure which way I want to go with my account overall. Maybe I ought to just grab my 1.2 wishes and see what I get.

In my experience, the rewards for the top domain level are virtually indistinguishable from the next one down.

Kinda impressive you've left so much off to the side, still. Haven't had a day where you said, "okay, I need something more to do" after spending your resin, and hared off after one of the quests?

Yeah, Ive been slow going for it due to playing other games too. I was wrapping up a Doom 2016 playthrough, beating some Switch games and I have 2 mobile games I play daily too. I did do some of Act 1 Part 1 of Liyue at least. I really should just focus on the quests next time I login

I find it's nice to sip them as an extra something rather than blitzing them all. Set aside time to see through the quests that follow the Liyue archon quest after you fight Childe, though. That's basically one long unskippable chunk.

I'm not sure if it was ever officially confirmed it worked like this, but when people gathered data on pulls, they found that the odds of getting a 5* went up from 0.6% after a certain point, prior to the guaranteed one at 90 pulls, and that this lined up with the published odds. Presumably that point where the odds start going up is supposed to be the soft pity.

Thought so. I got Venti on his banner and then Qiqi also on his banner. Since then Ive gone 60 pulls without a 5* so Im hoping I can get a guaranteed Ganyu. If it ends up being a different 5* I wont mind too much as long as its Mona, Keqing, Jean or Diluc.

Soft pity begins accelerating at pull #74. Your percent change to get a pull before that point is something like 35%. By the time you get to...I think it's 81, your likelihood is about 90%. Basically, half of all 5*s are earned in the 75-80 range.

So swordz, at 60 pulls, doesn't have very far to go before it stars becoming risky to pull on the featured banner prior to Ganyu's release. He could do it, for maybe up to 13 pulls, but then the accelerated rates kick in and he probably gets Zhongli/Albedo...which is guaranteed since Qiqi was his last 5-star.

Also not sure if I can use Mona? Game keeps giving me water people. I now have 60 Tartaglia (C1), 40 Xingqiu (C2), 50 Barbara (C1) and now Mona. I assume she fulfils a similar role to Tartaglia?

No, they're separate. Every banner is separate.

Mona is one of, if not the best, Burst DPS. You want her for her Ultimate spam, and her Skill persists like Fischl. And she gets damage boosts out of Energy Recharge with her 4th Ascension I think. Her Ultimate also has some crazy multipliers. 4-piece Noblese is great on her.

Though ideally you would want her with a Pyro or Electro main. Not sure how well she would synergize with Tartaglia.

Some of these deliveries basically require failing the first time so you can set up a portable waypoint :/. I got one that said I couldnt glide or touch anything weird. Thats all, but sprinting ruined the dish even though IT DIDNT SAY IT DID AT ALL and it was too far away from any waypoint. Guess Ill have to grind fireflies for the materials I need for portable waypoints

I had that same experience, swordz, and I'm borderline convinced that I'm not going to bother with the rest of this event. It's just too damn stressful. Even once I figured out all the rules, and that I had to not just read what the NPC said but also look at the pop-up carefully, there were several that I had no idea how to do.

I got everything done today, but gawddayum. I had to revise my strategy repeatedly for a bunch of these, and I don't consider this a fun puzzle. (If you're told to not take damage, bring a character who can create shields, just in case. I can confirm Diona's shield will protect you from enemies you have to blunder past.)

Yeah I dont care for the food delivery stuff, but the way I do it is to clear out any enemies that may be on my path to the NPC before making my delivery run.

Does that work? Two of today's quests will spawn enemies directly along your route.

I don't like the event at all, and the rewards are pretty minimal, but I guess I'll keep doing them until I get too badly frustrated.

I didn't clear the enemies. I just used Diona. As soon as something aggroed, I popped her shield. She has sacrificial bow, so usually her first trigger resets the cooldown.

I asked the GI board what they thought I should work on. Build materials for 90 started in the lead, but Bennett with the extreme pull from behind to overtake the poll.



Personally, I'm still in favor of running artifact domains since I'm not really happy with what I have overall, but at least I have some sense of what character I probably ought to be thinking about next. (Who needs cryo or hydro damage, amirite?)

It's close enough on the horizon that I wouldn't feel bad preparing for it. And even if not, there are alternatives to the obvious elemental sets like crimson witch and thundering fury.

Watched this to see why you were linking it. It is, indeed, basic tips, but I figured wth, maybe he'll say something I didn't know. (I wasn't aware Xingqui -- who I don't have -- is useful at the forge, so victory?)

But he also has some disinformation. I tuned him out after he tried to imply that a single talent rank was stronger than artifact bonuses, by saying Zhongli's ult went from 900% to 965%, as though that's a 65% increase rather than only 7.2

So I refused to use a portable waypoint for the first delivery. After trial and error, all you have to do is travel to the waypoint below the Wolf boss, then head northwest and climb to the top and glide over.
