50/50. Started with the idea of Shadow the Hedgehog being raised in the same vein as Solid Snake, decided to go through with the idea after a thought: What would a "Solid Shadow" be, other than the embodiment of Darkness itself.

I was a goth kid back then though. Now I use the name "Throgdor" (Not Trogdor the Burninator, Throgdor the Destroyinator) online because of DnD.

Mine originates from an old paranormal discussion forum that me and my friend made nearly 20 years ago, and has since evolved to an AM talk radio show in the spirit of Coast to Coast that has aired every Friday in 3 states for the last 10 years. My buddy hosts it, I have co-hosted it a couple dozen times. He gets over 200k listeners weekly, the name still has Mabus in it, but it's no longer my username like it formerly was.

I suppose technically it's partly stolen since I got "Discord" from a Spider-Man 2099 villain. "The Lunatic" was given to me by my friends (we all had modifiers after our names), and I just mixed up the upper case-lower case to make it look distinctive.

Mine's original, the plural version was the name of the super hero team one of my best friends and I made up in elementary school, when I first got on the intrawebz in... 1997 or 1998? I singularized it for my first AOL login and used it for forums etc over the years.

I did come across random dude also using the same name, I messaged him just to hear his story out of curiosity, and he said he saw it on another forum (that I was on) and liked it so stole it. >:(

Sort of original, sort carried over from a dead something.

This account used to be named Quicksilver90. When GameFAQs introduced the ability to have your username changed, I wanted to have it changed to Aressar (which is the pronunciation of my initials).
Unfortunately that username was already taken, so I asked a moderator to check if that happened to be a dead account by any chance.
According to the mod, that account hadn't been used in over 2 years. Therefor the username was granted to me.
