I think on a certain level he is old and he knows it. I expect that is true but also works against itself. For the same reason I think he will feel that someone younger is better suited for the job.

This may actually work out alright for Trump. He's inflated the stock market to record highs. Now the crash can come while Biden is president, after he tries to be somewhat responsible regarding government spending, and Trump can come back in 2024 on a platform of universal healthcare and UBI, backed by borrowing and spending like there's no tomorrow.

Even if he feels a younger person may be better for the job, the most important thing is keeping a GOP candidate from ever winning again ever

Weed legalization is going to have bipartisan support once people are properly informed of how much money in brings in.

And yes, you do double dip a bit because it leads to an increase in driving citations.

(We need stiffer penalties for impaired driving, because as know in the current system people just do it again)

I always have to wonder how much money is tied up in the anti-weed lobby that makes such an obviously popular policy an issue.

Well that and the PIC, so basically a shitload of money even beyond that

Damn had a brain fart when I posted. I usually follow up that assertion with "which is fucking stupid paranoia on Trump's part because he'll never go to jail for his crimes." He believes it but he's a rich (?) asshole and therefore above the law. Him going to jail would be amazing but it's a liberal fantasy.

Also you think he's just gonna resign? Not sure I buy that yet either, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Speaking of transition, have we discussed how Trump has not allowed the GSA to recognize Biden as the president elect, which in turn means that the secret service hasn't been authorized to provide additional security, thus making the incoming administration more susceptible to potential violence?

And similarly, biden hasn't been authorized to receive any of the daily briefings, making him less aware of what he'll be getting into on day 1?

Well yeah. But that's the real reason the "dragged out of the White House" thing will never happen. Trump doesn't want to be arrested and he has total control over this.

Also, he doesn't need to physically be in the white house to refuse to concede. The man can hole up in Mar-a-Lago or seek political asylum somewhere and still tweet up a storm about how he is the REAL President and Fake President Sleepy Joe rigged the election. We just have to deal with that until he's dead or in prison, and his main goal will be to avoid jail.

I accept that the 2016 election was legitimate. I dont accept your assertion that the Trump campaign didnt work together with Russia since they admitted to it.

Like I dont know what needs to be investigated about a literal transcript released by a member of the campaign where he sets up a meeting with a Russian asset who claims to have dirt on Hillary as part of, and I quote, Russia and its governments support of Mr Trump.

70% of Republicans believe Trump. We'll see how that number gets after Biden is inaugurated, hopefully peacefully, but I'm doubting it.

The Democrats need to not ignore this but fight it in every way possible. Drag every poll worker they can from all over the country to explain that this was done like every other election. Not saying it'll work, but ignoring this problem will be the wrong tactic.

According to a new survey, 70% of Republicans do not believe the presidential election was free and fair, even though multiple news outlets have called it for Joe Biden.
There has been a dramatic decline in Republican voters faith in the system. Before the election, in the same Politico/Morning Consult poll, 35% of Republicans thought the vote would not be free and fair.

Republicans don't live in reality. You'll have a few that accept it and start looking on to 2024. Mostly the ones that deep down know there's something wrong with Trump, but won't admit it to themselves because they supported him and they could never be wrong. Them, and the ones who just wanted those SCOTUS Seats. But others will NEVER admit that Biden won fair and square. They'll always insist something's coming any day. Just like Hillary will be arrested one day.

If you see someone circulating the link about how "benford's law proves that biden's results are fraudulant" please call them a moron and link them to this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etx0k1nLn78

tl:dw is that the data behind the visuals of "proof" have been cherry picked from a specific location (Chicago) that is misleading, and that based upon the size of precincts generally being of the same magnitude (resulting in a almost exclusively a 3 digit total of votes rather than a spread among 2, 3 and 4 digit results) means you would not expect a Bendford distribution. Trump's totals from Chicago only appeared to fit the distribution because he got so few votes in chicago than many of his precinct results began with a 1 or a 2 because they were literally in the 10s and 20s.

To be honest the most recent conspiracy theories over the last few days have been gaining very little traction from what I can tell. I didn't even find out about the California ballot collection video until it was already long debunked, and that was retweeted by Trump himself. While the denial and refusal to admit their candidate lost is obviously in full effect, I think people are starting to cool on the actual conspiracy theory side of things, and just want the recounts and court decisions to happen.

libertarianism was originally a left wing/socialist ideology that was co-opted by right wing americans. left wingers who now want to use the label generally go with "libertarian socialist" and it is generally not terribly different from people who use the label "anarcho-communist"

pretty sure the people that co-opted it bragged about it too. or their successors. somewhere along that line people were bragging about having stolen it from the lefties
