But in fact it boosted Republicans. You think this is a long term trend whew Republicans have gained a marked increase in loyal voters among blacks and Latinos?

Trump is a strong personality and that can appeal to minorities even if the person in question isn't good for them

Also doesn't help that Dems picked a candidate that was easy to find distasteful, especially as a minority

Are the exit polls even accurate

Five Thirty Eight talked about regular polls before the election suggesting Trump improved with every group except white males who he did worse with. That lines up with what the election day exit polls suggest. It is probably the case Trump improved with women and minorities, but he still did bad, just historically good for a Republican post Nixon.

Yeah, Democrats have gotta start factoring in minorities more in their strategies and policies.

Obama brought out the minority vote and won. Clinton didn't do nearly as well and lost. And given how close this election is already, Biden surely would have lost if not for how horrendously the Trump Administration botched the response to COVID-19 and, of course, he's had numerous public gaffes with minority voters.

Yeah I really think how bad the Democrats did despite everything should be a huge wakeup call to them. This shouldn't have been this close and they honestly probably couldn't have won without the pandemic occurring. I really worry about their ability to turn things around, especially with the Senate looking intractable.

All of Americas minorities, with the exception of Asian Americans, have seen worse outcomes than white people during the coronavirus pandemic. But Black Americans have fared worst of all, with about 1 in every 1,000 Black Americans dying from Covid-19 since February. That is about 40,000 people who have lost their lives. For their share of the US population, Black people are dying in the pandemic at twice the rate of white Americans, of whom about 1 in every 2,150 people has died.

This is factually false.

People that come from a similar cultural background tend to have similar beliefs and values, and thus you can reasonably predict where they'll tend to lean.

I actually think they largely won on the back of the pandemic. Though Joe Biden probably did better than most would. I honestly don't know what Democrats need to do, but what they are doing isn't working. If things continue like this they will never retake the Senate and therefore never implement meaningful legislation or counteract the supreme court. If they got the Senate this time they could have made Puerto Rico a state and packed the SC, but I also feel like Dems in general don't like playing the game to win and still would have done little if anything of note. It's honestly depressing.

This screams regression to the mean to me, though.

I'm not a big fan of comparisons that only show subtracted metrics. I remain skeptical.

Exactly. Its all the same Globalists and Zionists that win either way. Even with the senate, dems wouldn't have done **** about the courts and so they're basically a lame duck presidency. All hail McConnel, a real leader that gets things done. Sure he's the devil, but at least he wins.

Going right to anti semitism, typical. Let me ask you, what president has done more for Israel, Russia, and North Korea than any other has? But that reality doesn't fit your narrative.

Regression to the mean describes a probabilistic effect. The underlying situation could be identical between 2016 and 2020. Meaning, ascribing causes like "democrats aren't reaching out to minorities enough" would be incorrect.
