It was less about bernie and more about his policies which the Democratic party failed to adopt. People aren't going to come out and vote for you if you don't offer them something tangible to vote for. Being "not Trump" was never enough.

Biden did fine with Mexican Americans. Not as great as Hillary but still solid. What he dropped in is Puerto Ricans, Cubans, and Venezuelans.

Two of those groups is due to socialist attacks that were caused by the left.

Biden's main issue is he didn't reach it out or really even try at all for the hispanic vote and this was a known thing long before tonight. Not by much, but yes, part in due to Trump pulling more, particularly men. Guess Bernie should have done a better job at courting the field and not putting his eggs in the crowded field basket to win more of the electorate to be the Democratic Candidate.

And again, I say this as someone who voted for Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Primary.

Again, this is silly. Trump also was using the socialist card against Hillary in 2016 as well. The main differing factor is that Hillary, even with her being a more disliked candidate overall, is that she didn't wait til after summer to approach Hispanic voters. Bro, Biden is a much more well-liked candidate and he's doing worse than Hillary with Hispanic voters. One of the actual commendable things about Hillary's campaign was that she fought tooth and nail for the Hispanic vote. If she were to have approached it the same way as Biden did she would have done way worse than he's doing now lol if he actually tried to court their vote he wouldn't be doing worse. Biden failed with Cuban voters by being a proud Democrat. To counter that you must excite young Cubans and Puerto Ricans (who skew young) like Obama was able to. Biden was the worst candidate to do this and the results show. You do not depress your base in order to try to win over voters that will never vote for a Democrat.
