Poll of the Day > Had a dream that I was married with a baby on the way.

It was just a simple dream too. We were just in a kitchen cooking dinner. Talking about adjusting to eating healthier for the baby, and wondering if we should wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl. She wondered if we would be good parents, and we both agreed to do everything we could to provide a good life and that's proof enough. We hugged and kept making dinner, that's when I woke up.

Made me super depressed that it wasn't real. I know it was just an idealized fictional scenario, but I was so happy there. I hate when I have dreams like that, they always mess with me.

Absolutely. This one isn't hitting as hard as the other times I had similar ones though. It's just that version of events was so perfect. Ugh. lol

Yeah. I dipped my toes into online dating a few weeks ago. Got a match and made myself ask her out on a date, surprisingly she said yes. Then we both agreed now isn't exactly the best time. So we've just kind of been talking. I sort of feel like I'm wasting her time now though. Idk. lol

Edit: I see, the title makes it seem that way. It was an imaginary life, with a made up wife carrying our child. It was wonderful, but still felt like ordinary life. I guess that's close to what being content feels like.

Real talk though, have you ever considered or been able to see a decent therapist? I know you're not exactly the most well off financially but if you could make it work through whatever you have, I think that could go a long way toward helping your well being.

Yeah. I tried therapy a few years ago and paired with a terrible one. It was ridiculous how bad he was. That really put me off from therapy and medication.

Now though, I've been back at work for a year and have a decent amount of money saved up. Not a lot at all by normal standards, but it's a lot for me. I've been considering giving it another try.

Oh that's right I remember that weirdo. Yeah he was a shitbag from the way you described him. Don't pair up with the first person you find. From my experience, most therapists understand that the first meeting is just to make sure you're a fit for each other. Most of them didn't even charge me for that introductory session.

Also I might suggest finding a woman. I don't know if it's good or bad for you but maybe it'd help.

I'd be ok talking to a woman too, I think. Some subjects would be embarrassing, but it'd be just as embarrassing talking to a guy too.

And koga, not for nothing but men can have children until late in life. It might not be ideal for you but if you take care of your health and appearance there is still plenty of time for you to achieve that goal.

You'll get to where you wanna be in life eventually

I never figured you for someone who had been in that type of situation.

In my early 20s I had a ton of casual sex and random hookups but I lacked any real emotional connection with anyone which left me feeling lonely a lot
