I don't care if people are racist, because in the world we live in, ignorance and hate, be it justified or not, is inevitable given human nature. The racism isn't going to stop, or even be curbed, until we all die out or it is considered a crime and has serious consequences tied to it. As long as racists aren't in positions of power and can use that power to discriminate and hurt the group or groups of people they hate, or indoctrinate others to do so as well it's not a huge issue. They cannot see anything past their trauma and any way you approach their racist bullshit that doesn't concede to their notion of generalizing all black people as violent perpetrators anxious to victimize whites reinforces their trauma and causes them to double down. On the other hand, some of them didn't end up like that and I can't really explain it. Two of my sisters were victims of a high profile racially motivated attack and they are not at all racist. In fact, they're the ones who saved me from falling into the racist bullshit from the rest of my family. They're similarly at a loss for how to deal with the others who just can't get it and they have infinitely more insight on the matter than I do.
