10 minutes in and Jobless Reincarnation looks great and is very well made, and the PVs have been absolutely stunning so I know there's plenty more where that came from.

However, INCREDIBLY dissappointed that the MC appears to be a generic turbo pervert. This is a serious blow to one of the shows I was looking forward too most. It's doing serious damage to an incredible production. Hopefully it gets dialed back big time.

If you have to watch literally just one show this season, make sure it's Wonder Egg Priority. I really don't have any words. This is going to make waves.

Just be aware there will be some uncomfortable subject matter. Not going to spoil anything since PVs went out of their way not to do so either.

i just spent a week catching up on hajime no ippo for the first time in around five years, and what the fuck @ around chapter 1200. crushing, but honestly seems the right thing to do after the previous 500 chapters.

does anyone else still occasionally follow ippo? it's a shame that it so badly lost direction/failed to mature after the events of the first anime, since i'd say that its first run is probably my favorite anime stretch of all time.

It's not even that they were against old couples, since Kaguya's still in there!

Demon Academy wasn't great. The first arc was pretty solid, but it got boring after that. Was basically just the same thing over and over again.

Black Clover is always on these lists.

I read a huge chunk of that manga, up until last summer, and like...yeah, not actually worth it.

Definitely makes sense that junk food like that sticks around though. Unlike large chunks of, say, Naruto, nothing in Black Clover was ever actually bad. It was just middling all the way.

I don't think anything in Naruto is worse than Black Clover unless you mean how certaint hings failed to deliver based on how good it could have been. Series like Black Clover don't really make big promises so you never get that let down.

I don't think anything in Naruto after the time jump is any good at all, but it's been a while.

Definitely have not been a fan of any time jumps in modern shounen manga, really!

people that have never watched or read Naruto past the timeskip always say the Chuunin Exam or Rescue Sasuke arcs are the best

that's only like a 4th of the whole manga, and arguably the worst start of the Big 3

Zabuza arc was ok but it felt like an extended oneshot, Chuunin Exam was world building and setting the groundwork for the bigger Akatsuki story and Rescue Sasuke was the starting point of the "bonds" theme of the entire manga

Sasori arc all the way up to the Ninja World War is probably the peak of the Big 3 in terms of consistency

One Piece is absolutely 100% the most dissapointing to me because of how magical and incredible the good stuff is.

It blows my mind that Skypeia was once considered the middling arc. For me, Thriller Barker was kind of whatever, but I figured it was a fluke, which it was for a time, but after the time skip......boy does post time skip OP do absolutely fuckin' nothing for me.

Right now, the series is dropped for me, which is the second time that has happened. Hopefully as it starts to hit it's ending stretch I'll get motivated to go back in.
