I feel like that him suffering with this is the only way he's going to understand how serious this really is though. Some people have to learn lessons the hard way, much like who doesn't take gun safety seriously... until they accidentally shoot themselves. If Trump shrugs this off, that just tells him "It's no big deal". That just tells his base "It's no big deal". More people die that way. If Trump dies, or desperately clings to life, I think that'll put that fear in him and his base. How many times have you seen articles about someone not taking Corvid seriously... only for them to catch it and take it very fucking seriously in their final hour? It's sad, but sometimes that's the wake up call people need. I am not saying I want anyone to be sick. But the sum total of social media posts by liberals on the US coasts probably got Trump elected in 2016. I think Kantian ethics are helpful here.
