I live in Vegas and I have no interest in gambling. But it's widely available even off the Strip. You can go into a 7-11 or any grocery store and find video poker or slot machines.

The main appeal of Vegas for me is the shows and food. And I'm looking forward to Area 15 and Meow Wolf when that opens up. Most shows are cancelled or on hiatus because of COVID, and most buffets are shut down. Those that are open have certain restrictions. There's still plenty of great food and dining options though.

Yeah I'm looking forward to it! Having spent many years working in organic grocery stores, the concept is particularly appealing to me lol. Meow Wolf doesn't open until sometime next year, but the space that hosts it, Area 15, opens in four days with other "experiential retailers" and attractions. I don't know if I'll go opening day with this whole pandemic, but I definitely want to check it out sooner than later.

None. Gambling doesn't really interest me. Plus I'd probably be with my brother who is a gambling addict so that wouldn't be a good idea. I'd be more interested in sight seeing, drinking and eating.

If I wanted to go gambling, I could easily go to Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun, or MGM Springfield, so there is not much point in going to Vegas to gamble.

If I ever go to Vegas, I would not spend too much time gambling.

My impression is that is mostly interactive art exhibits, but I do think there will be some products for sale. There's also a few gimmicky places to eat and drink. I just checked and entry tickets (which are free) are all booked through to the beginning of October. I decided to get a ticket for October 6th, but I'm not sure if I'll actually be going since there's a pandemic going on.

Persona 3 Portable

I love roulette. I made a living off it for about a 9 month period.

I went to college near Atlantic City for 4 years, and could easily get there in about 15 minutes. I never went once.

Gambling's never really interested me. I've been in casinos about 4 times in my whole life (mainly dragged there for other people's bachelor parties), and every time I mostly just hung around, drank, and wandered between my other friends as they gambled, just chatting with them a bit before moving on to the next person.

My one friend used to say I was his good luck charm. Whenever I came over and stood behind him, he'd start rolling really well, and then when I'd eventually leave he'd start cooling off.

But if I was in Vegas for some reason, I'd be going out of my way to try and find interesting shows or concerts. There's probably any number of things you could only see there, so it would be worth trying to get tickets and having a fun time.

The bunny outfit is sexier, and not as hot. I'm a wolf in bunnies clothing, which works with magicians faaaar better. Have you ever seen a magician pull a sheep out of it's hat?

One of my psychology professors in college had gambling addiction and related aspects as his core field, and he also taught statistics. The upshot of which was that he knew the exact odds of every casino game, and thus your odds of walking away with money if you play any casino game.

He mentioned that about the ONLY game you can play where the house doesn't have major advantage (meaning you're guaranteed to lose more than you make over time) is baccarat, and even that still has a slight house edge (and you actually have to be GOOD at it - the worse you are, the better odds the house gets).

He also mentioned your best chance of making significant money in a casino is to find one that allows for games where you don't play against the house, you play against other players and the house takes a fee to act as impartial dealer (most common with poker games). Then get really, really good at poker and shark tourists.

Craps. Not only does it have the best edge against the house (including the ONLY type of play in pure gambling where there's no edge), it's easily the most fun. Turns a lot of people off though, because it looks complicated, but 90% of what's on the table is a junk bet.

Although, I had this girl roll double snake eyes and then an eleven once. I had this twitch to throw like $100 on the hardway, but didn't. Sure enough, she threw an eleven, and that was $1500 I didn't make.

That said, shows are the REAL reason why you go to Vegas. Cirque stuff alone is mind blowing, and way better on their stages than the traveling shows.
