I remember Icehawk being very into this game the first time around. I'll admit I largely only played it to get dat sweet Mass Effect 3 armor.

Might try it again at a discount.

I beat this back in 2016 it was fantastic. I wanted to do allt he sidequests but i apparently glitched the guards out to hate me forever. they just wanted to kill on site and I couldnt pay them off or even goto jail

I had almost the same reaction when I played it years ago. I did everything in the first major area and the whole time I was thinking, "man this is great", and then as soon as I got to the second area I realized that I didn't want to do the same thing all over again and stopped playing.

That said I think I'd be willing to give it another try at a deep, deep discount, which means maybe next year.

It's a single player MMO. I remember playing this back in 2012 and beating it at the 100 hour mark. The combat is the selling point, and to some extent the gorgeous world, but overall the game gets very repetitive. The story/lore is mediocre, and there's a lot of it. Dungeons are all the same batch. I remember trudging through at some point, just grinding the combat.

That said, yeah, the combat kept me coming back. All 3 classes were fun to play. And I'm a fan of WoW so the MMO aspects (generic questing) didn't bother me that much.

Overall I think it's an above average game for what it is. I'll still probably check it out just to see how it looks with updated graphics.

I don't disagree with that analysis, and I played tons of WoW, but at least with WoW every few levels you move to a new zone (and aesthetic) or you get new abilities or you at least have some sense of progression. After I hit a certain level, the only sense of progression I had was that of clearing out one more cell in the map.

Ew... This severely hurts my interest. I remember really liking the demo way back when it was coming the first time but that's extremely discouraging to hear.

So I ended up getting this and yeah, it's okay. Visually it doesn't look like they've done anything with it, the create a character option is still abysmal, and the story is pretty much impenetrable with all this terminology. But the gameplay is still very fun, especially mixing different weapons and magic together for fun combinations.

Nope, never heard refer to it as such. I thought it was just kind of your standard action wrpg with really good combat.

The game was intended to pave the way for an actual MMO set in the same universe, but it never happened.

In retrospect, this game was free on the Game Pass and it definitely wasn't worth the upgrade.
