Have to schedule appointments now and the earliest one is almost two months out. At least maybe this means I won't have to sit in there for 8 years like you normally do

Ouch. You might as well look into upgrading your license to a Real ID, if you havent already, as this is required to fly by October 2021.

Not usually. You have to submit paperwork to prove youre a legal resident.

here in california theyre extending everyones shit by a year if its expired recently

They extended ours for like 6 months but I dont think they extended it again unless I missed the memo. Maybe I should check that real quick

Maybe its different here. I had to provide legal paperwork proving I was a resident to get the license at all...

He's saying that if he drives he would be driving with an expired license, not saying he is actually going out to drive right now with a license that is expired (it's not expired yet), so he's just talking about potential possible crimes in the future if no solution is found (and he could possibly find a solution by posting here).

He's talking about the potential of having to commit a crime, but not actually commiting the crime currently or even saying that he will commit the crime later.

Supposedly passports/passport cards will also work as well (and a bunch of other things, but passports are the most common).

Are you not driving right now? I'm not accident prone but insurance can deny coverage if your license is expired so thats the main reason I'm getting on that shit

NJ just renews your old license through the mail. It's very helpful.

No clue what state you're in or what the policies are there, but you should look into seeing if you can potentially extend or renew by mail.

I would definitely check on the laws there. I remember when my license expired, they wouldn't renew mine online. But the reason they wouldn't renew it was because I didn't have to renew it. So, my license had expired in 2010, but I didn't have to get it renewed. And I didn't until like the end of 2017 for a different reason. Now that I got this one, I do have to keep up with it until I leave the state... Or get out...
