Bracket: https://challonge.com/es/e0cpkkjf Discussion Topic: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/8-gamefaqs-contests/78857778 Today's contestants: MATCH 1: Duck Dodgers vs. Marvin The Martian (Looney Tunes) Duck Dodgers, a space rogue version of Daffy, and Marvin the Martian had their first significant rivalry in what is considered one of the best animations in history: Duck Dodgers in the 24th Century. Parodying Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Duck Dodgers is assigned the mission of tracking down and locating the element Eludium Phosdex, the shaving cream atom, in the faraway Planet X, the only known place to store it. After he arrives to Planet X, he meets Marvin the Martian immediately after claiming the planet for Earth with a flag, and does the same thing. The colonialist fight they engage in is one for the ages, a duel so funny and creative that George Lucas himself attempted to play the short film during the first theatrical runs of Star Wars (1977). -ElCochran90 Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (Movie) Tucker and Dale are two affable hillbillies just looking forward to have a good time in the mountains, fishing, drinking beer and just chilling. However, one group of University students confuses them with bloody serial-killing chainsaw-murderers. After this turn of events transforms the vacations of Tucker and Dale radically, the evil they must face in the mountains is one to remember and laugh with. -Elcochran90 MATCH 2: Scorpion vs. Sub-Zero (Mortal Kombat) Giving birth to the ESRB ratings, and popularizing the fighting-game genre even more, Mortal Kombat was a game that had an iconic roster, as well as unique abilities and finishing moves for every character. Very akin to the case of Street Fighters Ryu and Ken, kids and teens back then usually polarized themselves between two particular characters: Scorpion, the fiery, skull-for-a-head, spear-in-hand ninja, bearer of the oh-so-famous phrase: GET OVER HERE!; and Sub-Zero, the ninja with ice powers capable of freezing his foes in very strategic and handy ways. Personally, since I grew up with MK3, I was always more of a Sub-Zero guy as a kid due to him being cool enough (you bet your butt its a pun intended) with his abilities But once I knew about the rest of the ninjas existence in MK Trilogy Well, it remained the same, though my appreciation for Scorpion certainly grew.
