I've tried to start branching out so I've got a few S&P high yield ETFs, a few regulated public utilities, a few financial services >_>

Why? As long as you make enough to pay all the bills and have some left over money to indulge and save you should be good...

Right now my dividend stocks are:

FRO
IBM
CLX
AAPL
PCRFY
WMB
TRP
CSCO

Non-dividend stocks that I've just kept for a while:
YETI
TSLA

I wish I had started investing ~15 years ago, but oh well. I'm just getting started out with investing seriously, so I only have a few of each. 30 of PCRFY, 21 of WMB, 20 of FRO, and 10 each of CSCO and TRP. Others are less than that.

It would take like 2 years to build a 6 month emergency fund and that's assuming no emergencies happen to delay it

I'm working towards a 3 month fund though. Almost got there and then my fence got torn down by that land hurricane a couple weeks ago.

Now that I own a house, so many things could possibly go wrong that cost thousands of dollars, like my AC could go out and they're like 6k to replace.

I hear you man, I wish I started years ago, too. Only started about a year and a few months ago and I really feel like I was wasting time before this -_-
