The DNC absolutely set her up to take the heat on this and they knew what was going to come with it, and they easily could have given her more time or explained the procedure to people watching who simply hadn't before. Hell, they could have saved Sanders speaking until LAST NIGHT instead of night one, bump Bill to night one, and have Bernie speak after the roll call vote and "release" his delegates to Joe.

Because ultimately the party knows that once Trump is gone as the boogeyman and once Sanders can't be their punching bag anymore while throwing all sorts idiotic insults at him about being a racist and sexist and AOC takes the mantle from him as the new voice of the left, she is going to be the future of the party. And they don't want that, they want it to be Kamala. So they set her up last night to be the one who would take the outrage from morons who don't understand the process, claim "SHE'S BEING DIVISIVE!", and try to hurt her rep among the standard Democratic voter and huge Twitter "resistance" accounts who immediately bashed and shitted on her due to their own ignorance.

The ones where the vast majority of Democrats are moderates and voted for a moderate candidate? I voted for Bernie both times, but other than young people who don't vote in significant numbers he wasn't popular enough to win the nomination. That's just how it works, you have to get a majority of the party to vote for you.

I'm more talking about how the media treated Sanders and progressives during the primaries. He was snubbed at every opportunity, he was painted as a misogynist, they threw hard balls off the bat at the debates (pointing out the whole "socialist" thing), I can go on.

I can, and do, acknowledge that there weren't enough progressive voters in the primary. But I also don't think it's a conspiracy to say that these media sources, whose interests lie with profit, have a bias against Sanders/Progressives and have personal interests in keeping them away from any higher position of power. This isn't some cabal of Clintons and Kennedy's or some shit plotting things out, it's literally how capitalists will act to defend their capitalist system.
