what's up? who's still around? what's everyone up to?

i'm in my 5th year now on this island in Okinawa, and making plans to move to Hokkaido next year. I don't play a ton of games anymore, but I am making my way through Evenicle now and I finished off Shovel Knight Treasure Trove recently. Kinda want to pick back up Breath of the Wild, which I played a good amount of over the New Year holiday last year, but when I loaded it up I was inside a dungeon and couldn't remember controls and just died to everything lol

my tabletop games have been on hiatus recently but i'm starting up a little one-shot (actually 3 sessions) to inject some life into that group.

I've had 3 relatives die from Covid so far. 2020 is a nightmare

Gmun's still cool and I haven't felt any need to "correct" that but I'd be lying if I said making the alt for my main's 13th account birthday and setting it my primary device account (laptop) last year didn't have a reason lol, so Grim's also nice. Still am on the old main with my PC and such

thankfully didn't have any lockdown disruption myself, the whole quarantine business even started up right around my appointment for a dosage boost but the GP was fine over the phone and deliveries have been early aww yeah

but augh with lockdown it's not like there's much else to do, plus the obvious disappointment of Anime North's cancellation :(

it's been years since I've been to a con but this is the first year I haven't at least taken a small vacation, so I feel ya... it's been too damn long since I've been in an onsen!!

I wish I cos'd while I was in Japan :(

cosplay's always been such a real safe haven for me and made it much easier for me to open up to friends and family so it makes me extra sad to miss out on the first big con since starting everything :(

(I started playing FGO for the story after reading frog-kun's article about the writing in ANN this january. so of course I'd play in English!

...since then I've become a slave to gacha, and also started buying japanese fgo manga, so oh well)
