Rules: 1._Vote for your favorite rivalry(ies). You don't have to vote on both matches, but it'd be cool if you did! 2._Traditional rules apply: No alts, no rallying, no cheating of any kind. 3._Topics will last for exactly 24 hours since the moment of posting. Discussion Topic: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/8-gamefaqs-contests/78857778 Bracket: https://challonge.com/es/e0cpkkjf Today's contestants: MATCH 1: Batman vs. Superman (Superhero Rivalry) Batman and Superman are arguably the most popular or at least, most recognizable superheroes of all time. Their popularity was such that in 2016 they faced each other in a highly-successful and very-cool-yet-kind-of-inexplicably-disappointing film, made in DCs response to the popular and ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universes films. While the rivalry in the film may not have lasted for long, and the movie may not have been more than an interesting concept to see in action, their fans are still really fond of them, and their popularity remains strong. -Advokaiser Death vs. Taxes (Concepts) On the mouth of one of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America, Benjamin Franklin, there comes the popular saying: In this world, nothing can be certain, except death and taxes. While I personally disagree with the latter element of the aforementioned statement, theres no denial in the fact that everything that surrounds us has a certain degree of uncertainty, particularly regarding the things that are yet to come, be it in the next second, or in the next 100 years. Both death and taxes are things that suck, but are still necessary elements of our daily lives that must be faced with maturity and responsibility. -Advokaiser MATCH 2: UltimaterializerX vs. Blizzard (User Spite) "So, Ulti hates Blizzard. Not only does he not like Blizzard -- no... he dislikes it, he despises it. His disappointment towards the company has been latent for well over a decade, and Blizzard... just... can't cut it for him. Even though Blizzard has still remained a recognizable brand and company over the last years, no amount of effort put into their games have been able to change his mind over how "poopy" (to not say a worse word) the developer has been to him." -Advokaiser yoblazer vs. Shin Megami Tensei (User Spite) "Dear yoblazer has a spite towards a well-extablished franchise, but the reason is totally different from Ulti's case. As funny as certain user's case (who I can't actually remember right now) has been regarding Donkey Kong by pretty much calling every match he's been in wrong (be it games or the character itself), yoblazer has had the same bad luck regarding Shin Megami Tensei's entrants, and more specifically, Persona... or so I've been told. I'm sure yoblazer will soon get his revenge by skillfully predicting their future matches correctly.
