I don't think it's true that Phil only accepts people if they give some money. Derich doesn't seem to pony over any money but has basically every message right. I genuinely do think Phil is an accepting person. But that doesn't excuse any of the terrible things he is

The person giving the cheers is Swagginz or as he goes by his Twitch handle "OmnipotentSwagginz", who has been known to whale out for Phil in the past. Phil misspoke badly here. And he was completely shat out, humiated and thrown under the bus several times on stream. And after leaving, like good abused spouse, he has come back to shower Phil once again in money.

Also, he barely reacts to getting 1.000 dollars.

How often does he struggle to string together basic sentences/talk in general? That doesn't really mean much to me. I highly doubt Swaggins has that kind of money to give away, the guy just seems like a loser and I don't mean the kind that has money. I mean like living in mom's basement grown adult loser. I've talked to DSP before. Usually, I regret doing so because he never has anything to say. I've also donated a max of $100 throughout his entire streaming career. Usually I throw in a $5 or $10 but, I haven't done so lately. He has gotten so boring and thin skinned. DSP and his jerk mods ban you for even the slightest of things. I got a perma-ban for joking around. Got overturned but, still it's sad how thin skinned he is when even a harmless teasing triggers him.

Now I don't really know a lot about LTG, but I do know DSP does accept people back if they apologize. Sure, it's because they will pay him money, but that does show he's forgiving.

And I don't watch enough DSP to know how insulting he is. I have hear some things, but it's against trolls that, well, troll him. I do think he talks down to people. A LOT. He thinks he's the smartest guy in the room and belittles people when talking about his, "adult life."

He really looks like a fucking clown, as I was just watching about 5 minutes (all I can stand) of his stream, with his glasses and vest on. He also wasn't entertaining in the least, muttering to himself what he was doing in the game, glancing over at his computer every 10-20 seconds (most likely to see if he got any more tips). It reminds me of everyone saying Mark Hamill said he hated the last Jedi, which is of course manipulating the actual interview. I'll level here: I don't see Phil as accepting, because I see him as a textbook case of narcissistic personality disorder. These people appear accepting, because they view every relationship on a "how much can I get out of it" basis.

As long as you have value to Phil he will be "accepting" to you, but only because your worth in measured in absolutes. In other words, as long as you sing Phil's praises, or give him money, or help him out directly in some way, he will be friendly to you. It's just an act.

Accepting has nothing to do with directly insulting someone, or a group of people, being racist or anything like that. Being accepting to me means that you are open to other people BEYOND how much money you can squeeze out of them.

I suggest watching Howard and John on Youtube some time, about them dropping Phil. The general feel you get from it, is that Phil is a complete emotional drain on them, but never got anything back for it. A relationship, any kind of relationship, with a narcissist is going to be a one way street: you never will get returns on your investment. They are not accepting of you for who you are, only what you have to offer.

Disgusting people come in all kinds of forms, some are really on the nose disgusting, like LTG. Others are disgusting in a less obvious way, like Phil. It's because then longer you are involved with them, the more abuse you suffer from them.

With LTG you know upfront he is a complete douche, and that will act as a warning sign to most to stay the fuck away. But with Phil, you get lured in, all kinds of promisses, and they can even be charming at times. And once you are in, the emotional/mental abuse begins.

In the end, narcissist are way WAY more malicious than someone who is openly racist. They can cause you to lose your sense of self. That is not open and accepting to me.

It's fine to have a different opinion than me (or anyone else), but it can be done respectfully, and in my opinion, many of WSW's disagreements cross the line into condescending or outright insulting. This isn't something that started today. I almost said something back when he had that rant about Cuties and decided to bring politics into a discussion that had nothing to do with politics, but I kept quiet (even though I find the idea of being compared to some right-wing Fake News-peddling nut job extremely insulting).

Am I overly sensitive? Maybe, although I don't think I've had any other issues with anyone in this topic (or on this board in general). But like I said, this is my last DSP topic, so you won't have to deal with it anymore.

I actually agree with just about everything Nazanir said. Phil's acceptance is most likely more of a faade. I'd like to know what he is like behind closed doors. He doesn't strike me as someone that would say half of the things LTG says, but I'm not going to say Phil is sometimes friendly out of the good in his heart. We all know there's not much good in his heart. And I fully agree Phil is a narcissist, my stepdad was one and it's unfortunate, but I have known one too many narcissists and they do exhibit most of the same behavior

My problem has always been that sometimes we will blindly accept any piece of information from, well, detractor sources. Even after the escort saga there are still people counting out the idea that someone would go that far to frame him in the WWE mobile game. Phil is a greedy loser, but I also have trouble believing he's spending that much money on the mobile game. I guess I don't like when people here start going over the line instead of looking at things fair and balanced. To me we are no better if we propagate false information meant to make him look worse than he already is

And yes I did make Cuties discussion personal and political, and I'm assuming you might too if your friends were getting death threats and labeled a pedophile for doing their jobs, looking into how the movie was made, and understanding the purpose of the movie itself. The controversy is nothing but right-wing nonsense meant to further the narrative that the left are a bunch of pedophiles which fits their narrative against Joe Biden. For the record, I do think Biden is creepy, but this is an election year and I can tell when something has been politicized. There are countless movies, both recent and historically, that have crossed lines farther than anything in Cuties. No one likes talking politics, but sometimes it's directly tied to a controversy. I have also never once said someone is not allowed to find Cuties an uncomfortable viewing experience, just that it is that way by design and that it's nowhere near pedophilia or pornographic. I even attacked Phil over that for believing his own dumbass fan base that the movie has nudity from one of the 11-year-olds

So yeah, sometimes I might jump in and defend DSP, but it's not done just to be a contrarian. I wrote an entire post dissecting his god-awful review of the last of us 2 and consistently criticize him. I cringe every time he mentions the pandemic because his viewers are a bunch of idiots that think it's a conspiracy theory. I'm highly critical of Phil. That doesn't mean I'm never going to step in and see his perspective or take a moment to assess what is going on. And none of that is meant to offend or upset anyone, so I apologize for that.

I've seen a Serbian film. The reason it's more political to me is because Netflix already has a movie that contains child nudity. Girl is about a trans teen dealing with a whole lot, but simply put there's a 15-year-old penis in no sexual context. No one make a stink about that, no one cared, it is still on the service. The same thing would have happened to Cuties but the far right is obsessed with combating issues of equality and racial tensions with the idea that pedophilia is running rampant. Is it weird that I think it's one of the most messed up things he has ever said? First of all, there's games I'm interested in. Secondly, you know he is only saying that because less consoles purchased/in public arms means more people have to watch him.

Something that caught my attention.

During the vest streak, Phil got a lot of donations from unknown names, or at least not known chatter names. Phil would then look at his phone, nod and start his whole "ladies and gentlemen" speach about hitting the tips goal.

Technically the same thing is happening right now, he is getting tips from unknown sources, but after looking at his phone, his reaction is the complete opposite: fear of chargebacks.

This leads me to believe that even though during the vest streak he was getting large tips with unfamiliar names attached to them, he did recognize the emails/paypall accounts attached to them. I won't argue whether this means that he is actually contacting his whales behind the screen, but he knows his whales well enough to recognize their email adresses.

Given that he still is getting tips from unknown sources, but doesn't recognizee the email attached to them, he is scared that people are fucking with him. He is letting the tips stay in limbo, or refund them. But he is also openly doxxing some of these people/donations.

I suppose this is why he is slowly changing the push to bits/subs, because these cannot be refunded and there is no risk of chargebacks. I honestly do not know how chargebacks work with Paypal, if they are easy or hard to do, and how. A quick Google search yielded this result:

"Chargebacks have been a big issue on Twitch for some time now. A chargeback is when a viewer donates money to a streamer only to then request the money back at a later point. ... If those chargebacks get approved, streamers forfeit the donation amount and PayPal charges them a fee for the dispute."

So that means that if someone issues a chargeback and it succeeds, Phil not only not gets the money, but also has to pay a fee for it. So in can truly imagine Phil not being happy about that happening, and according to Paypal you can issue a chargeback up to 120 days. Meaning that someone can give Phil money and almost 4 months later still fuck with him.

Now the only thing I don't truly know, is how often Phil gets hit by chargebacks. But Phil is not unfamiliar with using different methods for extorting money. At one time he said for the first time that he was unable to pay his bills. Now I am willing to believe that the first time that was actually true. But then milked it for all he could. As long as he can keep feigning distress and it pays off, he will. I will blindly believe that Phil gets hit with chargebacks, beacuse it happens to more streamers than just him. But we will never know the extend of the chargebacks till we get actual proof. Which will never happen, because that would mean shooting himself in the foot.
