beat-wise, WAP has little in common with anaconda. lyrics-wise, it's similar, sure. but given how many other rap songs are in the same vein lyrics-wise, i'd say it's a stretch to call WAP a copycat.

i agree that that has something to do with it but there's been plenty of super explicit songs by female rappers before too.

i think the main problem is that shapiro doesn't know anything about rap (he's stated several times that he thinks the genre is garbage) but he acts like he knows what he's talking about anyway (as usual).

Explicit is nothing without cultural context. Are the words explicit? Sure. Are the more explicit than something you would find on the equivalent of daytime tv (tiktoks, instagram, snapchat, twitter)? Not by a long shot. So what if it's explicit? The phrase "lick my pants" is explicit but if I wrote a song about making other people lick my dungarees from cuff to butt, it wouldn't be close to groundbreaking.
