It's how Kerry and Clinton got elected. Barack Obama was not a safe pick to win over a conservative imaginary friends. He's credited to mass turnout of non-typical primary voters that got him over the hump.

It was hilarious for the Democratic party to use the strategy of electing Hillary to win over Republicans in the suburbs. GOP voters have never hated anyone more. So are these highly paid strategists really that dumb or is the mask slipping off that their primary goal is to defeat lefty candidates.

Hillary lost the election because she under performed in conservative areas compared to Obama, not heavily democratic ones. Even then she lost the election by like 30k votes in three swing states.

Sorry but you don't get to talk about electability when progressives are literally the most politically inept group of people in the country. Stick to fighting for those D+30 House districts.

Bernie = popular policies = high enthusiasm

Biden = unpopular policies = low enthusiasm

Majority of Dem primary voters: "We prioritize beating Trump over policy"

Comcast: 5th place Biden is the only one that can beat Trump and you trust us.
Jim Clyburn: 5th place Biden is the only one that can beat Trump and you trust me.
Centrist Voltron+: Biden is the only one that can beat Trump and you trust us.

Dem primary voters: Ok let's go vote against Trump, which means settling for Biden.

If you ignore all facts and data pointing to this being how it went down.. and you instead believe that Biden won because people suddenly remembered they loved his policy the most and won all the debates.... then how do you explain Biden still having low enthusiasm?

You can't because you're laughably wrong and possibly trolling.

How did Biden, the guy you said was the most popular, perform in those 2 states or even the 3rd contest before he got the catalysts I described?

According to your theory, voters vote for who they most agree with policy wise (laughable) so that means no one agreed with Biden in those first 3 states. Then magically the rest of the country did and it had nothing to do with the Comcast Clyburn special that occurred at that time by complete coincidence. Iowa, NH, and Nevada are just so radically different from all other sates and have more in common with each other eh?

Comcast centrism has fried your brain.

Which would also be the medias fault, considering Bernies proposal was an actual, publicly-available bill(which he and his surrogates discussed in detail a number of times) and they continued to present candidates like Buttigieg, Harris, and even Warren as supporting the exact same policy even after they put forward different likely intentionally confusingly titled proposals.
Joe Biden also said he would veto it unless it didnt increase taxes on the middle class, which lol.

Biden was expected to come in first or 2nd in the first 3 contests. He got annihilated until the Clyburn Comcast special.

Bernie was picking up steam and crushed the field in Nevada after having to suffer through Comcast centrism say he could never win there because the Culinary workers don't want to have healthcare.

Bernie was a lot more than "bring universal health care to the US"

He wanted to ban private health insurance, he wanted a federal jobs guarantee, the most prominent part of his rhetoric was his disdain toward rich people.

Get a progressive candidate who doesn't dabble strongly with actual socialism (and is an actual member of the Democratic Party), they could do very will within the Democratic Party.

And you say that's because the majority of people prefer his policies, which the data and timeline doesn't support and makes no sense.

What the data does say is that beating Trump was a priority over policy for most voters and that those same voters have a high trust in Comcast and dem party leaders. And that makes perfect sense with the timeline of when things flipped.

It's why you have to keep falling so quickly back into "well most votes overall" and "lol brain fry" because there's nothing to support your theory and it becomes downright silly to even entertain once dissected.

Fine. Let's ignore policy polling completely.

You say voters vote for who they most agree with on policy.

So Iowa, NH, and Nevada are uniquely composed of people that reject Biden's policy but the rest of country doesn't and the Comcast Clyburn special happening at the same time that voters flipped is all just a coincidence?

You can even watch the mail in votes in California flip from Bernie to Biden depending on the date they were mailed that lines up with when the Comcast coverage of Biden endorsements rolled in.

I've never seen someone willing to die on the hill of Americans being principled policy first based voters. You'd be laughed out of any room if you said that out loud. Just like you're getting laughed out of gamefaqs.gamespot.com

Oh I never said Bernie wins outside of policy, he loses there as well. He's incredibly unlikable compared to Biden, and I don't deny that lots of people vote based on that.

And yes states like Iowa and NH don't always vote in line with the rest of the country. They are 2 small states out of 50. Also the media was declaring Biden's campaign dead before SC, your favoritism lie is just grasping for straws.

Exit polls showed that for many people whether a candidate "could beat Trump" was a higher priority than their policy objectives.

There are certainly some problems with "policy polling" (you can get wildly different answers depending on how you phrase the question), but the idea that people are completely policy driven when selecting candidates is untrue.
