Support for Biden was always framed as "We need to beat Trump and do nothing more"

While support for Sanders was always "We need to dismantle the root problems with our nation that led to someone like Trump winning in the first place"

Electing Biden is the destination. The neutral ending after a bullshit boss that leaves you relatively dissatisfied.

Electing Bernie was a stepping stone to something greater. Bernie is the good ending that leads to an epilogue where the world is saved and the boss is truly defeated.

When he retires Bernie Sanders will he remembered for his long list of political accomplishments and successful legislation, such as renaming a post office.

So Biden has what is known as "default support". Literally his entire campaign was based on his name recognition as Obama's VP. If you watched any of the debates, you're see that he'd name drop Obama at every possible opportunity, and that's what got him strong support from older black voters. Biden before being VP had ran for president with laughable results. Nobody is passionate about Biden. This guy is as vanilla as it gets. The pure definition of Establishment politician.

Also, Biden stands for absolutely nothing. Seriously, I challenge any Biden voter here to cite ONE policy that he's passionate about that would bring about positive social change. Spoiler alert: there isn't, because he's an empty DNC suit. His values and ideology are whatever his corporate donors say it is. If that wasn't enough, the man is so demented right now that he can't even speak in coherent sentences anymore, and they were most than just gaffes. The guy is not well in the head at all.

Another thought: Sanders and someone like him would have never gotten the democrat nomination, because he goes against their entire corporate friendly apparatus. Just look at what happened before Super Tuesday this year, when Sanders had crazy momentum. Buttigieg and Klobuchar just out of the blue drop out of the race a day before the most important day in the primaries? And they all do a super event in Texas supporting Biden as nominee? Yeah, not strange at all. They've done the same thing in 2016 and it was so exposed that Debbie Shultz had to resign from her top DNC position. This party is a corrupt mess.

And lastly, some guy in this topic was actually defending that Sanders is a leftist radical? You're a fool. You have absolutely no knowledge of world politics. You americans wouldn't know what leftism is if it bit you in the ass. The Democratic Party is as centrist as it gets, with fake identity politics virtue signaling sprinkled on top to desguise the fact that they are all empty suits, sold out to their donors. In my country, a guy like Sanders is a run of the mill social democrat. Nothing radical at all. But it's not surprising these laughable takes from a country that doesn't even have national universal healthcare, and where people would rather risk dying than take an ambulance, in fear of the costs. Somehow the narrative was that Sanders was some big bad boogeyman because he thought people shouldn't have to choose between dying or going broke lol.

Having said all that, Biden might still win the election because his opponent is probably the most laughable political figure in modern history. And the fact that this buffoon even got elected in the first place was because his opponent in 2016 was one of the most vile, corrupt, and unlikable politicians in modern history as well, also standing for nothing and offering nothing to the people.
