Either I go cold turkey and completely distance myself from it like I did with pokmon Save My contests, I ignore it until it gets to like the top 25 and actively participate, or I'm in it the whole time. Why. The hell. Buddy? He doesn't play a major supporting role like Brother or Shinra (the kid). He doesn't have any good one-liners or meme potential like Biran or Yenke, or a Hypello. He doesn't inspire love or hate as a joke nomination like Maechen or O'aka (or Leblanc). He doesn't have a cool summon animation, or a boss battle, or nice Blitzball stats, or a gosh darned thing that would make him stand out. He's just... Buddy. Garik is dumb, but he's like a Ronso chieftain or something. Isaaru and Dona are niche I'll admit, but they're memorable in their limited appearances. Lenne is... Well she looks like Yuna and has a song at least.
