It was made with a specific purpose in mind, with a specific biased thought process to find an end result it can specifically point to as proof. Same as the title of the article. Just...disingenuous.

I think it's disingenuous for you to post "no, this is a lie, this isn't real" - and in response to people asking you to prove your statement, you respond with "well it's clearly coming from a place of bias, the title is biased so you can't trust it, they were looking for this result and they made sure they got it".

The group that put these figures forward was a centrist think-tank which came to this conclusion, and they put the results first because that's the most newsworthy aspect of the news.

You say it's clickbaity, but I would argue that "anti-fascists linked to zero murders in 20 years" is less clickbaity than "Scientists Tracked Antifa Murders Over 20 Years - The Results May Surprise You".

You feel like the news is fake. When you can't prove that this is the case, you call it biased and clickbaity. But the problem isn't with the figures or the news - it's with you.

Fascism is a far right ideology as far as how it's defined now. The actual meaning of fascism though I think there are fascists on both sides. Donald is a fascist. The right is more just milking it at this point. There are phony people on both sides that are pushing autocratic and dictorial bs.

I agree though actual antifascists don't murder people.

I straight up proved it was fake. Not the report, I never said that was false because I don't know if it is and I'm not going to go through 26 years of terroism for it. Sorry I'm not. But the title is just false, and I gave a post that just straight up confirmed it was fake with the little blurb I mentioned above. If the title was more representative of the report, sure, but it wasn't.

Their logic is so mind-blowingly stupid anyway. Putting aside the fact that the incident mentioned was self-defence (on the part of the officer) and didn't have anything to do with politics, the inclusion of people being murdered (or that are even involved in a murder in any way) would make the data worse than useless. "Pacifists have been linked to 5000 murders (but how many they committed, how many they were victims of, how many they witnessed, etc., no-one knows)!" Obviously in the article they're referring to murders anti-fascsts have (or have not) committed, as anything else would be idiotic. They separately consider people indirectly killed anyway.

I didn't, I have always hated blanket statements. Look up my name and gamefaqs and the word blanket statements, I'm sure you'll find quite a few posts of me getting annoyed by them.

If you're gonna throw out a vague statement that covers everything and everyone, it's just usually gonna result in you being wrong. Unless you can factually point it out('people suffering from arachnophobia are scared of spiders'), it just devalues any positives you could possibly contribute to anything.

The article title straight up implies there has been no anti-fascist linked murder in the last 25 years, not a SINGLE one.

Linked itself is pretty vague(make, form, or suggest a connection with or between.).

I made a super vague connection, with like...five minutes of googling, that invalidates the article's title just by it being a sheer blanket statement.

Hell, could even bring up that guy who got shot while holding the AK-47 at that protest in Texas. He was, easily, linked to anti-fascism. He lifted a gun, and was shot, the death is on him entirely, because the murderer did so in self defense. So, what does that tell you? It's an anti-fascist linked to a murder. His own, granted, but still a murder.

Someone said I don't understand English, but that's just basic logic intertwining with an understanding of English. It even sourced a report that could've easily been used in the topic title. It didn't.

I trust The Guardian about as much as Fox News, which is to say they are both biased as hell.

For example, they vaguely reference Micah Xavier Johnson, who shot and killed five police officers in 2016, but they dont mention him by name and conveniently dismiss him as part of the so-called anti-fascist movement, even though anti-fascists have consistently and loudly denounced the police. Thats blatantly disingenuous.
