I almost never use grenades in games anymore. But I used to grenade spam in Halo almost as quickly as I picked the damned things up.

Because the enemy always run away, I only use such explosives on stationary targets

I hardly use grenades when they're limited but they're infinite and on a cooldown in Destiny so I use them every time they're active

Ive been getting bette about using consumables. Its a hard mindset to get into but makes games way easier so I can play a harder difficulty.

Yeah if you aren't spamming them in halo you're playing wrong

I used to play with this mindset and generally would end up never using them. Now I just use them as I get them. If you really need grenades for a situation, the game usually obliges.

sticky nades are fun watching anyone you hit panic then boom

if the game has stealth and you can pick pocket people well adding a lovely grenade to there inventory is even better

thats why you use grenades to herd the enemies to where you want them to do

I'm generally pretty good about using them in Borderlands, especially 2 (since they offer specific utility and often form an integral part of the build), but everywhere else?

I like when a game lets you "cook" a grenade so that it explodes over an enemy's head when thrown just right

It's ok though because grenades are fucking everywhere in halo. Corpses and scattered on the map

What was always fun was when you threw a grenade and it landed in a pile of grenades that dead Grunts had dropped, and it set off a chain reaction where all the grenades exploded at once in a huge blast.

Those chain reactions were serious in the first game. I got pissed many times thinking I was out of the blast radius only to be just in range of the last blast

Depends on the game. For most shooters, I try to save them for large, mecha-like bosses, or obvious narrow choke points.

For games like CS, they become an essential part of the game. For Borderlands, it'd be insane not to use them, since grades there tend to do absurd stuff, like create mini-black holes or teleport across the map.
