It's so crazy how you guys have a fucking 2 hour commute round trip. THAT'S just driving. On top of your jobs. WFH is the way to go in this new world. My commute round trip is 30 minutes. and I like it. 0 mile commute round trip is even better and I can usually get the same work done.

WHY are we not going forward with this? Roads all fucked to hell? Alright well repair the fucked instead of building brand new ones on top of the old ones. If a lot of people can work from home we no longer need all this fucking road infrastructure. Getting on a plane for a meeting? FUCK THAT get on whatever video chat you need.

Sometimes I wish I had a longer commute just for its own sake, honestly. Always like gettin up before sunrise to go do company stuff an hour further from my house than my actual job.

I love driving in general. Put me on the open interstate where I can lay her down to 100-110 and it's fine. ANY city/town/dump/garbage bin shit hole you can warrant putting up traffic lights for and it's OVER. There's too many people that simply don't know the rules of driving or don't care. Either way it's always at traffic lights and I hope they all fail their GEDs

I legit have some Forza views driving down the mountain going to work, it's a lot of forest, rocks, roadside small waterfalls if it's rained. A lot of farmland and photo worthy landscape before you get close to the city. In the fall it's pretty stunning, everything is red, yellow and orange. I don't mind most of the drive, and even before COVID, I only had to go to the office twice a week, the rest of the work was at home.

I have birb. Funny thing happened today. Usually when I get home I let her out of her cage to fly around for a while while I get her dinner ready and clean her cage. Then I'll need to have her hop on my hands so I can carry her into her cage. But today she flew back into the cage on her own so she could jump in her water dish and splash around lol

I got 2 cats. I tecchnnnically have a Squirrel. I throw these pretzels outside and this fucker rushes up to em and for his size he can't be eating all of that shit. He has to be hoarding a lot.

I have a Corgi but she's an asshole. I wanted a herding dog, I keep chickens and they are free range so at the end of the night she herds them into the chicken house and locks up. She's super smart, but is the most stubborn dog i've ever had. If a bird lands on the porch she's barking at it for 10 minutes. She knows "quiet" when I have a treat in my hand, but it's a big fuck you otherwise.

She's a good farm dog, and good guard dog. She's only like 15 months and has unlimited energy.

The only downside to birds is they are sensitive to a lot of things, smoke, certain aromas and perfumes, even non-stick cookware fumes can harm a bird. You have to be careful about a lot of things you do when you have one in your home.

To be honest I wish I had a "normal" pet bird since it would likely be a lot more docile. But I have a red-vented bulbul that I found as a baby outside a courthouse. It's legs are permanently angled outwards likely because of the impact when it fell out of the nest :<

@MabusIncarnate you should get a border collie. Those are solid herding dogs and well behaved. I had one once as a stray if you can believe it. But my dog couldn't keep his dick in his pants and actually got his cock stuck in her and we ended up getting rid of her which was stupid in my view.

There's a reason why Labs/Goldens are so beloved, can never go wrong with them. Great temperament, easy to train, smart, good with kids, loyal fun to play with. Terrible guard dogs tho lol. I also had a cocker spaniel as a kid and he was really playful as well. Generally I like any dog breed thats medium size and above. Small breeds, I just can't deal. Especially chihuahuas, fuck those things.

It wound up not being for me as a cat owner, it would squack at the site of any cat in the house, even though the cat was paying it no mind and I got fed up with it. Yeah I got her because my neighbor initially bought her, spent like 2 grand on her, and the dog was trying to herd the grandkids when they were playing in the yard, and was nipping at their legs and whatnot so she was like, you can take it or i'm gonna shoot it (small town TN mentality) so I took her.

There's just so much energy, I toss around the tennis ball outside with her at least 2 hours a day and there's just no quit in her. She's great with the chickens though, and she's at the point where she gets them all in the pen, pulls the gate closed, and pulls on the rope to lock it before coming in. Maybe i'm gonna teach her to get me beer from the fridge. I might start loaning her out to other locals in need of cow herders just for the sake of getting her to burn energy and calm the fuck down a bit.
