Okay I've taken three shots this time in a shorter period of time and I definitely think I'm feeling the "tipsy..." like I feel like it's hard to type this out, like my fingers are sluggish or imprecise

Are you a drinking novice? And I don't mean that in a bad way, I'm just genuinely curious.

Revelations 2 raid mode is fun as hell if you can find someone to co op with.

Go by the 45 minute rule, or it's gonna sneak up on you and you aren't gonna be awesome tomorrow. If you are feeling good right now, and it's been less than 45 minutes since your last shot, give it a bit of time. A lot of people drink too fast initially and it hits them way too hard. Pace yourself so you wake up tomorrow not feeling awful.

Yeah, the hunters and scanners are just cruel.

At the time, the game was a big deal because Wesker returned. To top it off, he seemed to have entered the Matrix. If you play as him in the battle mode and look in the status screen, he wears an insignia to a different company which only added to the mystery. Thus began the "Oh man, Wesker's being built up as the ultimate protagonist in the series!" which rolls over into 4.

Even though Code Veronica deals with another Umbrella legacy family and the origin of the company and their research, it's much more interesting than 0 and Marcus.

I tried this game the other day but my first impression was really bad. Theres a graveyard full of ghouls and its really hard to not just take a ton of damage right at the start of the game. And then they catch your eye with this briefcase but if you go to get it there's a fire and you have to go back through the ghouls and it's not like you have enough ammo to kill them all i think

That said prison setting is cool so Im still kinda sad theyre not remaking it. maybe i should download RE3mke tonight. but i have a lot of game on my plate and i wasnt a fan of the demo. i understand they amde it a lot more action oriented. I played some of original re3 and it just felt like an open re2 with nemesis appearing sometimes. im also disappointed that nemesis is apparetnyl scripted events still because i thought they'd put more tech into it. I dunno RE introduced me to horror and I think REmake is one of the best games ever so I have a pretty high bar for all the games

Feel free to ask us any questions about alcohol. I didn't start drinking until I was 22 and look at where I am now. A regular in a drunk general.

Remember to drink plenty of water while consuming alcohol so you avoid that nasty hangover the next morning.

You'll be inclined to take shots to get past the taste but like Mabus said, it'll hit harder and you won't have a good time. I'd suggest mixing the alcohol with something to get past the taste. Rum and coke is a good example. Then as you get used to the taste of alcohol, you can use more rum and less coke in the mix. Before long you'll be drinking stuff straight.

Last thing, blackout is not a state of drunk to work towards. I grew up with people who thought they were suppose to drink until they got to that point. If you blackout then you went too far. Pace yourself and learn when to cut yourself off for the night.

Yeah I've been using cocacola. Normally I dont drink pop because I stopped because I drank it too much but it really helps.

I dont want to black out or do anything that might give me away but I do want to like... feel it all out.

I'm on my 15th bud and feeling quite a buzz, only 14 more to go, one of my cans had a puncture in it that's the second time I've ever had something like that.

Even as much as I drink, I know my limits. When I start to yawn, and the room begins to spin slightly, I cut it off and go to bed. There's always that inspiration to keep going until I don't remember going to bed, but I pay for that the next morning. Control is a good thing, and learn your limits. If you start to stumble a bit when you are walking, consider it's gonna hit you a bit harder even if you don't drink more.

Eat before bed also, I stress this. Get something on your stomach. My go-to is late night breakfast, or some stovetop stuffing, or even a cup of noodle or ramen. Give your body something to process besides alcohol while you sleep.

I think today was a success. When thinking about this in terms of experimentation. I got to a point that I'm giggly and was more open talking to my friend on discord. (Normally I'm very bad talking to someone 1v1 but in this instance I didnt even realize there was just us two left) Also I've felt it physical in my arms and legs and my eyes have been less focused somewhat. I'd like to go a bit further next time though. My main limiter is actually getting the alcohol down. Today it became easier after I had some already unlike the first time, and I figured out that drinking it all was about equally as unpleasant as drinking some of it so I might as well just get it down. But now I am out of coke which really helped me this time. I may have to just dilute it with lots of water next time.

White russian is a great intro drink. Basically tastes like chocolate milk. Vodka, Kalhua, and milk (some use heavy cream). Masks the alcohol taste a lot!

Yeah heavy cream. Don't use milk.
Also don't get the absolute bottom of the barrel vodka.

Watch out for all those extra calories you're mixers are adding. Easy to gain several pounds drinking white Russians. I know from experience.

Alcohol is an acquired taste so it'll take time before you start to enjoy it. That's why most people start with drinks that will hide the smell/taste. Also alcohol does work your body so you'll be a bit worn out the next day if you drank too much and you body isn't used to it.

Hangovers are alcohol withdrawal. You consume a shitload of it then it leaves your body generally as you sleep/pass out. That's why hair of the dog works.

oh don't get me started. however it must be an actual po boy (french bread). when i was at lsu there was the dairy science building and they sold ice cream. but when i went in there they had "sausage po boy" on the menu. I was hungry so i ordered it.

it was a goddamn sausage link on a hot dog bun. i've never been so disappointed but i guess i should have known better than to order a po boy at an ice cream shop

There's nothing more liberating than walking down the streets openly drinking booze. And the best part of new orleans is you can jump into any restaurant and it'll be good. When you go to most cities you try to find which restaurants are good but with new orleans it'd probably be easier to just find the bad ones and avoid them. Just walk up and down Decatur St or something and wander into a random food joint and it's gonna be amazing.

Funny thing about New Orleans is I got off I-10 to go to the airport in El Paso then got back on I-10 after arriving in New Orleans. Felt at home right away. I remember Decatur St vaguely. I heard Magazine St was good for restaurants and wasn't let down, plus it was near the WW2 Museum.

Took me all of 30 seconds to figure out Bourbon St was a complete dumpy tourist attraction. Overpriced and it actually smelt like piss and shit.

Saw a drunk guy throw a brick at some lady on Canal St downtown too.

But the first day I was there me and my friends were walking down the street with beer in our hands and NOPD turned the corner and we alllllllllllll instinctively thought "FUCK *beer behind back act casual* then immediately thought.... wait...... this is ok now"

Lol I had kind of the same reaction initially. One of my friends was/still is in a ska band and he had a show in NOLA I went see. This was the first time I was over 21 and in NOLA. After the show it was past 2 AM which is when alcohol sales stop in Baton Rouge so I was used to that. Went to a gas station to get some munchies before heading to our next destination and the inside was closed, they were only selling through the mail slots. Dude in front of us ordered some liquor and I was like "wait you can buy alcohol at this hour?" The dude just picked up his package at the mail slot, turned around and gave me a smile and said "This is New Orleans baby!" and walked off.
