It's a gacha game they have to save some stuff so they can sell it to you later. That's like, the whole business model.

....it's a gacha. They can't put out all the characters up front.

For the most part it seems like the choice was to go with just about all the leads, but leave out a lot of popular non lead characters, I assume for banners later on. Makes sense, really.

The earlier you play the more gems you'll have to pull with once his banner comes out.

Also, have decided not to spend gems until Tales of Arise comes out in case there's a character I really like. There will obviously be a banner tie in to that.

This is the third gacha I've tried out after FEH and Sinoalice. Couple thoughts:

1. Sucks that these games seem to rarely have English VA. I get that not everyone has Nintendo money, but all the Fire Emblem character being voiced in English really helped me immerse myself in that game more.
2. Stamina. I detest stamina. It is absolutely the #1 thing preventing me from fully enjoying this genre of games. Bad luck when rolling is fine, whatever, who cares. I don't mind working with the resources I'm given. But being forced to wait to play more is absolutely awful. As someone who's actually enjoying Sinoalice a lot more than the average person, I've gotten to the point where stamina is becoming extremely restrictive and it's borderline ruining the game for me.

Those genre-specific complaints aside, the game seems pretty cool so far.

OK I've never really heard Japanaese Magilou, but I think I'm switching to JP voiced for my next Berseria playthrough to shake things up. English Magilou is perfect of course, but this is great.

I can def see it coming already, just hit 6.

Have 6 win streak in the Arena, the 5th battle was TOUGH. Guy had a Dezel that was wrecking house, guess SRs still have plenty of potential.

I'll tell you one thing that minorly irks me. Why on earth is Velvet a Wind character and not Dark?

Yeah if there's one character available that's edgy enough to be a shoe-in for a Dark character, it should be Velvet

If it's anything like Dokkan Battle, you can expect versions of characters from other affinities to be plentiful later on. Maybe they're saving Dark Velvet for some special version down the line.

But who knows, really!

If the elements are anything like DBZ Dokkan battle then they're basically random. Eventually there will an SSR Velvet for each element.

Finished chapter 1. The gameplay isnt like, super engaging yet, but Im definitely in it to see where the story goes, and the battles are serviceable for now.

I also keep getting dupe SSRs from my pulls now, which is a little disappointing...but maybe great if consuming the dupes really bumps up the power of units a ton? Who knows!

I'm not gonna pull for a while. That banner isn't going anywhere soon and I'm sure it won't take people long to work out whether it's worth pulling now or not.

That being said, it's a bit easy for me to say that when I can field a full team of SSR.

Yeah, I mean, I have 4 SSRs right now so I could stop, but Im tired of playing the saving game on gacha games, and Id like to try and get Milla and Rita.

The only thing drawing me towards pulling is that I literally didn't get a single unit that wasn't blue or green, even in the lower rarities. Gonna cause pains for the materials grind, I'm sure.

Nope. Chat won't connect when I open it up. It just hangs and then after a while timeouts and prompts me to try to load again or cancel

World chat is very finnicky, Ive had it crash a bunch, but did manage to drop a hi in quickly for the mission.

A heads up, if you exit the app during a mission and resume it later, the guest character is no longer in your party.

That sounds like a bug, like what if legit the app crashes mid-battle?

I mean the game is riddled with bugs at the moment. I'm sure they will get ironed out.

Apparently they wanted to delay the game but then pushed it out anyway for whatever reason.

They did just put a notice out saying to restart the app and it should apply a fix for the chat issue.

Didn't work for me.

The way around getting the daily dungeons to work is to set your phone to Tokyo time and they work. So for whatever reason they have global set to Japan time which is probably what is causing the inconsistencies with when the day ticked over too

Hopefully this will get fixed pretty quickly since it seems a very simple fix
