It's like comparing Cristal Chronicles to the regular Final Fantasy games we all know.

Also reading this topic has brought back so many good memories, this is quality. Learned some stuff about the game I never knew here, and I've already beaten it so many times. Like what the crap about the Marrymore Inn stuff, I'll have to do a playthrough again soon and try that.

Fun fact, you earn prizes for staying at Marrymore Suite multiple times.
1 stay = Flower Tab
3 stay = Flower Jar
5 stays = 1 Frog Coin

Also, you can basically break even and stay for free if you have 999 coins and after buying the room, order as many kerokerocolas as you can and DONT tip the bellhop >_> and then sell them all. You earn enough to do it 5 times in a row to get all the prizes.

You can also do that and just stay a shit ton of nights at once so you have to work as a bellhop, and hope you get the old guy as a guest because he randomly tips you a flower box. Then sell the kerokerocolas afterwards and recoup your money.

so nintendo doesnt own mallow or geno so they cant be used without square softs permission so they dont get used

Now it makes sense. I always figured Mallow and Geno were Mario characters and thought it was weird that they never appeared gain in another game. Now I see why.

You get that if you take too long in the minigame lol. If you're really quick, you kiss Peach while Bowser and Booster kiss each other.

But that whole wedding scene is great >_> After everyone goes back to the wedding chapel, you can jump on the piano to piss of the organist and jump on the cake to piss off Torte, as well as take wedding photos and whatnot.

There's 2 outcomes from that. If you hide, he finds his doll, but can't reach it. So you help him get it and he gives you the Amulet accessory. It's alright. It raises all your stats a little bit but lowers your speed.

If you get caught too many times, you have to fight him and he's kind of a challenging fight imo >_> But if you beat him, you get a Flower Box.

There's a similar minigame much later on towards the end of the game. But I don't think you get anything from fighting that boss, so it's more favorable to hide to get his accessory instead, even if it is kinda eh too

TC there's an easter egg in booster's tower, there's a curtain close to the top and if you go behind it you emerge as smb1 mario but it only works once

This is why I always save without going behind the curtain. That way, I can trigger the 8-bit Mario gag any time I want.

getting caught 3 times in a row in the curtain hiding mini game is the only way you get to fight booster which is weird since he is such a big antagonist for a fair chunk of the game with his time in the spotlight going from boosters tower all the way to marrymore

There's enemies called mukumukus on Star Hill, and if you use the Yoshi Cookie on them, you get an item called Muku Cookie which is the best status healing item in the game. It heals status effects on every party member and heals them all for 69 HP >___>

You can buy them in Seaside Town on your first visit, but after you get the 5th Star, the shop that sells them closes down, so the only way to get them after that is to item morph the Mukumukus.

so it just kind of seems like a hassle to get them when peach does the job better

anyway star hill has the best battle field in the game and its a shame there isnt a boss fight there
it makes star hill seem wasted. i mean it even has a star but it just doesnt feel as epic as the other stars cause you dont earn it through a boss fight

You're gonna get a bunch of money if you look for every treasure chest in the sunken ship and it's easy to max out your coins there >_>

You will soon be able to grab the Safety Ring from a chest if you search a bit carefully. It guards against every ailment and instant death while also nullifying elemental damage. It is basically a better version of the Amulet you missed.

The Safety Badge is easier to find but only guards against the ailments.

i saw a list that ranked how good each character in mario was and it lost all credibility when it didnt put the princess in the number 1 slot
she is blatantly overpowered in the game

Geno is probably #2. He has Geno Boost as well as highest or 2nd highest stats in everything but Magic Defense. He's pretty nuts >_>

Plus since you're fighting ghost enemies, they sometimes drop Pure Water which sells for 75 each. And Mallow's thunderbolt and Shocker spells do extra damage to ghosts and fish too, so consider him

I had kept a couple of those Pure Waters from the Kero Sewers all the time but I definitely wish I had more. My dudes are lv 10-12 at this point in the game

that 3D puzzle box thing was too hard for me btw lol

also, Bowsers Mario Toss attack... is him using the real Mario just a sometimes thing or is it part of the timed hit mechanic? Cuz it seems to happen at random

it wasnt the clue i was missing though
there is a room with a big button on the ground you can press
it doesnt stay down
for 6 years i didnt realize that the barrel in the corner could be pushed on top of it
once i did the password hit me like a ton of bricks

I googled the hint for the 3D puzzle and got spoiled on the answer. I... dont think I wouldve been able to figure it out. Granted I didnt whip out a pen and paper and write down the letters and stuff, which may have been fun and may have led to me getting the answer. But just doing the work in my head, no I dont think I wouldve gotten it

If you haven't reached Johnny(the boss of the Sunken Ship) yet, here's a tip to make the fight easier, defeat him before you defeat all of his minions.
