Board 8 > B8 Fantasy Baseball - Draft on Friday

Oh yeah, this still exists and we haven't drafted yet. So a reminder if you haven't checked in on the league, we are drafting on Friday at 8 PM EDT.

Be aware of some changes that are happening for this season only:
-Teams split into two divisions. Six-week regular season allows for a round robin within the division plus one game against a rival team from the other division, currently matched up by preseason seed but could be adjusted to reflect standings at the time. Division winners get first round byes for the usual six-team playoff. I manually seeded and placed teams in divisions factoring in past results and history, not just the default seeding of last year's final (playoff) standings.
-IL spots changed from 3 to 4. Higher likelihood of players hitting the IL, including COVID related which could be for any amount of time.
-Max moves per week changed from 6 to 8. Intention is to give people more flexibility to replace players going on the IL or are struggling in shorter sample sizes.

Still open to suggestions/feedback for handling this mess of a season.

not a big fan of switching 6 to 8, if only because it allows for potentially a lot more pitcher streaming, which I guess isn't the worst ever (or allows you to do that more when you have a couple more injuries), but no one was ever coming close to using 6 adds in a week for just injury purposes, the only way you'd hit 6 is if you were streaming a bunch?

Maybe though. up for debate.

I think the increased limit is good for just this season because of the COVID IL which has the possibility to cripple a team.

Well, apparently Yahoo is having maintenance all day so drafts can't happen. There's a chance it could be up and running in time for our draft tonight, but can't really count on it right now. Nice of them to do this last minute with no advance warning, less than a week before the season starts.

So how does tomorrow night work for people? Could keep it at the same time or can be flexible since it's not a work day for most people. @ZaziGuado Better for you?

No official word yet, but it looks like things are back up and running, so we should be good to go for tonight.

Sorry, Zazi, though. Tomorrow was a bit more inconvenient for some people and I'd rather keep it for tonight if possible.
